The redhead comes zooming down the hall, coming to a screeching halt just before running smack dab into the caster. She’s clearly out of breath and it takes a minute to compose herself but when she finally does she puts on a large, extremely goofy looking smile and holds a small box up for him, “M—Merry Christmas! I hope you like it.. Uhm, it’s a little cheesy but..” Inside is a somewhat strange looking ring, a little bent.
But clearly made with effort, “I uh, made it myself..It was kind of hard but, I hope you like it..” Her face has started to turn red but she’s still smiling, “Theres.. An engraving, on the inside! Uhm, I’ve got a couple more presents to give out, so I’ll be right back!” And she’s off again in a flash. Truth was she just didn’t want to be around when he read the engraving because she was still somewhat embarrassed over how it had turned out..
She’d asked Enkidu to teach her how to write a bit of Sumerian. And although it came out choppy like a child’s writing, the message was clear enough, ‘((For the)) light of ((my)) life. Love Ritsuka.’ The aforementioned brackets being missing from translation but implied, and her name in written English.

LATE CHRISTMAS 2018 ASK.
He hadn’t been doing anything important at the time, so her coming to a halt (lightly bumping into him) wasn’t a distraction or anything. In fact, he was pleased for her to show up – seeing her always filled him with a joyful feeling. But, it seemed like she was in a hurry – did something happen? Was an emergency Rayshift needed?
But, it turns out that such a thing was not the case -- instead, she now held out a box no bigger than his palm; if not smaller. “Hoh. A gift? Amusing, I’ve something for you as --” Before he finished speaking, she cuts him off by stating that she’s to deliver more gifts. “Hoh. Mongrel, I wasn’t finished speaking -- now, you won’t receive a gift until next year. But I’ll be sure to up the ante for not giving to you this year.”
Quietly laughing to himself, Gilgamesh takes a breath and turns his newfound attention to the small box within his right hand. Carefully, he opens the box, trying his best not to damage it; as it was, after all, something his favorite mongrel (his lover) had gifted to him. He now views the content of the small box, the ring she made for him -- it was quite obviously bent.
Taking the ring out of its container and placing the box into the Gate of Babylon, he holds the ring up toward the ceiling; allowing some of lighting to reflect onto it. She said there was an engraving on the inside, so having light reflect onto it aided visibility. However, he wasn’t looking at the engraving yet -- no, instead, he inspected the material.
“Hm. Tumbaga. An interesting choice of material to use, but I suppose I can’t fault her for being unable to get the best without my help.” Yes, Tumbaga was certainly the lowest quality of Gold -- it was a mixture of Gold & Copper, surely a testament to how low it was. But, he wasn’t complaining; it was a thoughtful gift, one by his most valuable treasure. No matter the quality, he will not be upset.
Now, he takes to viewing the engraving; slowly turning it as he reads. While the only proper words he could make out were ‘Light of Life’ and ‘Love Ritsuka’, he understood the message fully. ‘For the light of my life, love Ritsuka’. If one were to be in his presence right now, they would see that a smile begins to take the King’s features; perhaps, even a light tint of red burning into his cheeks.
“Ritsuka Fujimaru.” he speaks to himself once again, tone soft & effusive.
“You are quite the person to observe. From the very beginning, I knew you were worthy of my trust; even if I tested you. What I did not perceive, however, was that your personality would capture my heart. And now, here I find myself -- aiding your journey, sleeping by your side, giving to you the love I possess.
You’re a fool for running off so quickly, I’m unable to praise you for this; nor thank you. But, I will do so later. Fortunately for you, you are my beloved, so praise comes to you whenever I see fit.” Chuckling, he slides the ring onto his index finger; but not before pressing his lips to it.
