Why is she starting to care stop that || Haru || Trial 4 || Re: Vivian, Ulysses, Elise, Chuu
Turning her gaze toward the others there, even if she didn't care if most of them died... They all were in a similar position as her, she didn't like many of them, she could go as far as to say she despised how most of them acted, they were all irritating, loud, moronic, and many other insults she could muster in that case... However, they all were still human. She never really intended to speak to them, and, she was amused by the concept of them getting it wrong, the idea of seeing what would happen...
But now that it actually was happening? She couldn't bring herself to smile regarding it, in fact she was silent. Before taking a deep breath, turning her gaze to Elise. A look of seriousness growing, but not one of anger.
"...Do not misunderstand. I've personally despised you all from the start, Sinclair-san, the issue of the matter is... My words are not out of hatred, but out of thinking realistically. You all... Chose to vote as this, you all chose to let her live, as much as everyone deserves a chance, we are still sentencing someone innocent to suffer... May I bring about a hypothetical? What if it is Inukai-san who suffers? What if it were Mimori-chan? What if it were Bellamy? The list could go on, could you realistically look at your decision and believe you did the right thing?"
There was a sigh from Haru, for a moment her normally stoic look seemed to falter for a moment, almost looking like she was concerned about the situation, but, breaking back into her stoic gaze again.
"...I just want you all to know that you have no right being upset about what happens, you chose this, you have to live with it, the ones who deserve to cry are the ones who attempted to avoid it."
Then came Ulysses, who, for a moment Haru was going to let slide, she made a truce with him, after all... But as he continued Haru couldn't really contain how much this was irritating her. Hypocrites? Yeah she was probably one, but, that didn't change the matter... He was so readily prepared to do this out of defiance. Defiance to someone who could easily kill them in a moment, defiance when it didn't make the least bit of sense. Defiance when her life, as well as Mimori's was on the line.
"...Your father must be so proud of you. You keep talking about defiance, but in a situation like this that is absolutely fucking stupid. Have you for one moment thought about the outcome? You keep acting like you are in control, like you can change anything but you're just a fucking half-wit lawyer. I had thought our truce would last, yet, you decided to pursue such a foolish goal of defying who we are against, instead of using your fucking head and trying to find an answer. Your logical-reasonings are flawed, much like every other word you fucking say. Defiance comes with time, yet you're attempting to throw away lives for it. You only care about your own vision of justice, you don't care who lives or dies in the least."
Now she was angry, why? She didn't even know, there was this feeling in her chest upon the results, fear, concern, care? She didn't really know how to react to those feelings, she felt scared, she wanted to be sure certain individuals were safe, she wanted to avoid a negative outcome... Which was amusing, seeing as she had went into that case fully expecting to laugh about the outcome.
"Our truce is over. As short lived as it was, my information I've already found is better used on someone who actually cares to assist us, instead of sending innocent lives to their deaths. Kindly stop speaking, preferably for the rest of the time we are stuck here.."
That was hypocritical seeing as she was an accomplice but... There were two other people to focus on, however, Vivian and Chuu now.
"...Yes I... Cannot blame you for choosing to fight for your life, any person truly would... Why was Sangre-san involved then? If you don't mind me... Asking that, is it as you said? She wandered in and saw what was happening and chose to intervene? Yet the question of who is watching...? Do you truly think that will get an answe--"
And silence, Chuu spoke and Haru watched in silence... They were watching...? Well, that made things a little easier in that case. She was still viewed as a kindhearted and lovely heiress, and not the terrible person she knew she was. Turning her gaze back to Vivian now, she crossed her arms, looking as serious as ever now.
"...Two individuals, hm...? We shall focus on finding the facts, Faust-san. I believe you have other matters to focus on, yes? I expect us to meet again... At least, we better if you truly value your life outside of here."
