So there's this dimension called Crest, right? It's filled with mostly humans, though there are a select few Players there, people who belong to no specific dimension. People who may appear like they're right next to you, but whose bodies are merely vessels for beings who live beyond any known world. To Crest's (or really any dimension's) native residents, Players are considered… let's call it "morally unreadable". This is a game to them, after all, and while most don't try to be malicious, it's clear they don't see any of their actions as immoral.

But that's all really heavy and unfun to think about. The good thing about Players is that they grind like nobody's business. They're always up to something, and those things are often innovations in technology and engineering.

You remember when I mentioned Galaxy's dimension-hopping episodes he would have in the early days of his existence as a living being? You remember when I said that he would leave traces of his magic behind wherever he teleported until he got his powers under control? You'll never guess where some of that magic landed, and who was able to collect enough of it to form a rift to Arkion. Yep; it's Crest. And also yep; it was the Players.

Two of the first travelers to come to Arkion were Players from Crest, and by God did they make a name for themselves. Sabre and Lucas are video bloggers, as most Players are, and they came to Arkion ready to film a do-it-yourself animal documentary. One thing they didn't consider, though, is that Arkisen aren't animals, not as far as their brains are concerned, and they really don't like having two weird strangers in their business, sticking cameras in their faces.

But Sabre's speciesist and Lucas is a doormat who does whatever Sabre says, so harassment it is!

This brings us to present-day; the stuff that shows up in videos. The Players are gonna bother Arkisen, build machines to trap and experiment on them, reawaken ancient heroes from trees to make into their test subject. Normal Player stuff. Maybe they'll eventually, finally feel guilt regarding their actions and strive to help the people they hurt, but that's a later them problem. Today, they're here to cause trouble and make content.

This thing has been in my folder for a year now and I just never posted it other than for my commission examples post. A lighting experiment I did with V!Sabre, Lucas, Light, and Rainbow resting after whatever bs they had to go through that day.
