"The greatest frozen treat on planet Earth is frozen York peppermint patties."
Cora found the hose next to the house.
Bev is now soaking wet and laying on the ground.
She was careful to follow the signs until she found where she needed to park, thankfully a fair enough distance away that the presence of the six wheeler wouldn’t cause disruption. Once parked she made sure her holoform was in perfect order before she materialized enough of a distance away from the doors to not draw suspicion before heading towards the door. Her gold dress glittering in the lights that were put up, and her black hair was down loose in curls. Her nails adorned with gold stilettos and her heels the same.
She was a plus one, so she waited by the door, as elegantly and gracefully as she could muster as she waited for her date to arrive.
Heh, date. They didn’t do that often, and it was surely a treasure to be having one tonight.
Report #4589 - Convergence event detected in multiverse file [REDACTED], coordinates of [REDACTED] at approximately 0930 on 2465.105. Event lasted for approximately 5-10 minutes before natural dissipation occurred.
Report #4590 - Convergence event detected in multiverse file [REDACTED], coordinates of [REDACTED] at approximately 0935 on 2465.105. Event lasted for approximately 35 minutes. Three anomalies of the canine variety were apprehended and sent back through the convergence point before the event naturally dissipated.
Report #4591 - Convergence event detected in multiverse file [REDACTED], coordinates of [REDACTED] at approximately 0950 on 2465.105. Event lasted for approximately 1 hour. Two anomalies of the humanoid variety were directed back through the convergence point before dissipation occurred.
ADDITIONAL FILE NOTE FOR REPORT #4591 - Convergence event appeared to have significant issues with dissipation. Edges were frayed and the natural invisible barrier appeared cracked in several places. Field agent GARCIA reported being able to see with natural human eye into the convergence point to the adjoining universe. Unit E Commander TALON has flagged this file as a CODE YELLOW.
Well...that didn't bode well. Bev knew from personal experience that Talon didn't get involved unless someone thought it was worth it enough to push to Talon's desk in the first place. If Talon was labeling whatever was going on with these two particular multiverses a Code Yellow, then Bev was going to take it seriously.
The first thing Bev did was send a message to all of the field agents under his command: Keep an eye on any potential convergence events regarding these two multiverses with our own. Forward any and all occurrences directly to me and Fowler as soon as possible.
Once that had been settled, he attached all the reports he had as well as the additional file note from Talon, and immediately directed them up the chain to Fowler. Gonna wanna take a look at these, boss. Already told the agents in the field to keep an eye out for any occurrences here on the ground.
Closing the laptop once the message was sent, Bev leaned back in the desk chair to stare at the now closed laptop in thought. Hopefully the Code Yellow was just that, a yellow. Precaution, a just in case. But he had an itchy feeling on his neck that wouldn't go away. Something else was at play, and he had a feeling it was only a matter of time before they all found out what that was.
He is somewhat afraid to know the state the mudroom is currently in...
It felt like ages since he had a chance to just lay down outside of the required sleep that one needed to function throughout the day. But the horses had been fed, the cattle had been checked on, Cora was at school, and he was left alone for at least the next five minutes and was long overdue for a nap.
....Alone. Always alone. Enough.
Now wasn’t the time to think about...the bullshit going on in his life, now was the time to take a nap. Even just laying on the couch, contorted in a manner that would have normally suggested discomfort, but that he seemed to be more than relaxed in. Warm, golden hues slowly closed, and as he slowly breathed and let his body relax, he felt sleep claim him as he drifted off....

Eyes opened with a start, a snort leaving him as his head jerked up and he looked around. Eyes scanning the treeline before him, an ear flickering as he listened to the sounds around him. The trees and the leaves were rustling, a slight breeze drifting through his fur, scents carrying on the wind and reaching darkly colored nose. Unfolding his legs he stood, looking again around the treeline with a huff. Time to move on, to keep going and keep searching...
Searching for what? You know that they abandoned you long ago, left you here alone never to find them again. No...that wasn’t true. They’re out there somewhere, they have to be waiting for him, looking for him...
Looking for you? Isn’t that cute. Why would they be looking for you? Look at you, you’re practically just a shell of what you used to be, if they wanted to be found they would have made themselves known at this point, and they haven’t. They don’t want you to find them, you don’t belong with them, you belong nowhere.
His legs stumbled and gave out underneath him, water splashing up dark and white legs, his body falling until great tines touched the waters of the creek he fell into. Shifting he looked down into the rippling surface of clear waters, made dusty by the agitation. Nowhere...he belongs nowhere...he is no one...
A sharp pain reached through his chest, feeling as though his heart was being crushed and he let out a bugle of pain. White hot and felt like he was being ripped open, though the physical pain is still mild compared to the way his heart felt as though it had been shattered, finally, into pieces. As he looks up and back, trying to see the cause of blood, dripping into the water beneath him, he sees only a flash of red before, perhaps blessedly, everything went black...

He jerked awake, heart and head pounding as he sat up on the couch, wincing as the light shining in from the window made the roaring migraine he was feeling behind his eyes even worse. Pinching the bridge of his nose, he grimaced and hissed, slowly standing to head for the kitchen. Once there he had to feel his way through, not wanting to open his eyes even for the critical migraine medication he kept on hand.
What the fuck was that?

Confirmed. Multiversal tracking system in operational order
After checking on Cora and making sure that she was safe and not too shaken up by the unwelcome guest. Still steamed between that encounter and the earlier one with Oron, Bev decided to get some of it out of his system by doing some yard work.
The fence line needed to be worked on closest to the road, so he grabbed his kit and headed out to some trouble spots, muttering to himself the entire way. While he was out, he took the marking stakes with him as well so he could get ready to put down the layout of the stone wall.
It had been an almost mental jest at one point, that he would go so extreme that he’d have to build a wall to keep his home and family secure and safe. But as the days passed and more continued to unravel, that idea became less and less of a jest and more of a serious consideration.
He pounded a stake into the ground, and then another, and another. Once he had finished with the tenth stake he wiped his brow and took a step back, surveying the area and trying envision the wall that would eventually surround his property. Tall, easiest would be brick or block being laid down, though he would certainly prefer something more natural looking instead to keep everything and everyone who entered his property safe from pretentious, egotistical, ridiculous, no good...
The more his thoughts wandered on the day’s events, the angrier he became, his fists clenched white knuckle tight, and it almost felt like the ground was rumbling beneath his feet.
No one was going to threaten his family again, no matter what!
His rage exploded, and he turned around to slam his fist on the top of a fence post. When he did, however, the ground itself seemed to react, coming undone and exploding upwards, at least twelve feet into the air before coming to a halt, a wall expanding down the fence line before eventually coming to a stop almost a football field’s length away.
The sight left Bev staring, agape with shock.
“Wh-what the fuck?!”
