Top 10 Songs Tag!

About a year ago I took the ‘top 10 fave songs’ tag and made it my top 10 songs to write DA fiction to (it’s here, none of these songs are repeated below). However... I’ve wanted to do an update on it, because I have new writing faves and other reasons.

SO....! Here we go!

1. Taylor Swift (don’t judge me): You need to Calm Down - Dorian strutting down the streets of Minrathous with this playing in the back yes gawd work

Anders throwing off his shame of being a mage, Fenris holding his head high to meet someone's eyes, both fiercely refusing to be held down by those who tell them who they’re supposed to be. Slaves, Mages... It shines light again on just how similar their are and makes the fenders ship so bittersweetly beautiful.

  LEWIS WATCHED HIS former friend fall down the cliff, his heart going cold with the growing realisation of what he'd just done.   Could he stop it? Why did his chest hurt, if the other deserved just what he'd got in the end? Oh, damn it all, he had to do something. Dematerialising in a puff of smoke, he did his best to reach the bottom of the cave before Arthur did -- only to ultimately be too late, in the end. If he had a lower jaw, it would've been shut tight with anxiety, waiting for a sigh, anything that might give away that the other was somehow still alive, in spite of avoiding any and all sharp stalagmites. He stood quietly nearby, metaphorically holding his own breath, and thanking the heavens when he finally saw the other move on its own.   “Arthur,” he spoke gently but decisively, making his way towards the living being, hovering just a few inches above the floor; though a frown still couldn't manage to get wiped away from his very features, at that. Was he relieved? Certainly. But was he still angry at him? Yes, without a doubt. He'd killed him, after all -- it had been all his fault from the start, and though the spirit didn't intend to be a murderer anymore, it definitely didn't mean things were at peace just yet. “Are you hurt?”

━ Long legs carried the skeleton towards the old bar -- it’d been a while since he’d last been there, and he couldn’t help but want to TALK to his friend once again; maybe have a drink or two while he was at it, before finally departing with his dear nakama towards Fishman Island.

     He knocked on the door first before opening it; the wooden thing making a loud creak as he stepped inside, his shark-guitar hanging loosely from his bony back. However, he stopped in his tracks once he noticed that someone else ( a familiar-looking stranger? ) had beat him to it.
