So at least where I live, Vineyard vines is a company that usually the kids on the rich side of town use. Like they're the ones who pay full price for Nike brand stuff and shop at Academy. Usually the people who buy it are business majors. One guy came to class wearing a vineyard shirt and said that he was the president of a fraternity which made so much sense. Most of them have blonde/dirty blonde hair. Oh! They wear sandals, Birkenstocks, maybe crocs but like the expensive ones. They wear brackets and act like they could go camping when their shoes haven't seen a drop of mud in their life.
It sounds very judgemental which I really am not trying to be. People can wear what they want. But I just find it funny how it's almost like a uniform with them. I hope this doesn't offend anybody.
OH. I COMPLETELY GET IT NOW.
we have similar stereotypes, mainly about business majors but it definitely captures the same vibe you are going for asdfgjkl
thank you so much for the clarification and i have received it in the non-judgemental way you meant it. its simply an astute observation that all business majors share the same personality and wear the exact same clothes lmao (im kidding, im kidding!)
we don't have like greek life (is that what you call fraternities and sororities as a whole?) where im from, but we do have single sex residences and the culture and type of person that it creates is basically the same, ugh
basically all this to say - we are on the same page, anon, i see you!
Just remembered that before college I started an *aesthetic* blog because this one was mostly books and tv/movies and now this blog is a merge of both.
A moment of silence for all the boyfriends I had where I was secretly in love with their ex girlfriend or their sister
It seems to have become a common goal of Christmas sermons to convey to the Kids how #relatable Jesus was
