Omg i can talk myself in rage when it's about Nazis i can't help myself it's such a shame the youth (Not the youth youth you know, more like mid to end twenties) still do not nothing about wwII how could this happen? I hear about how great German worked his history out Blabla but that's not entirely true. Yeah you see the piles of dead bodies but you don't hear about that after the war there were war criminals who weren't commited for the crimes (and there were a ton of them, some of them migrated to America just sayin') stayed in Germany and became the leader of fucking "hospitals" for children!!! Waffen-SS-Obersturmführer!!! But they were not only there but also in secret services and schools and of course in the gouverment. In the fifties there were men from the ss who infiltrates schools and made their own little kid Nazis. The pedagogigy was at least til the eighties almost only Nazi ideology (Look at Johanna haarer ist anyone inetersted...rabbit hole of black pedagogigy, big tw here). It's an open secret, nobody wants to talk about it and i think it's one of the reasons so many people - especially the youth - don't care about this or the politics in general (looking at Italia omg). It was never school subject like other Nazi topics at school and it's so easier to close the eyes. Yeah it's painful but what means this for the future? German ist so fucking slow and ist good in pushing away all those things (not to start the genocid on Herero an Nama but that's another topic, it fits just the topic about not looking at His own war crimes).
I don't want to say Germany did an completley bad job on working things out but there are soooooo many rabbit holes that were ignored and now i see that in my friend's circle and i can educate and educate but maybe i should leave them alone because i think every time about it and it makes me sick to the core. It's exhausting and it makes me so sad because of this lack of empathy. The world wars were not only action movies sadly. There were real people and they still have survived family members (yes, still!) And Offspring. But what should i do instead of talking about it. Or all the other people who fight for democracy (who many died for or still risk their lifes). Education ist the only way out of facism.
