See this? This is ventricular fibrillation. It looks like chaos. If you see this you should be shocking that person as soon as possible. Unless they are sitting up reading a newspaper; don't shock them then. Sometimes leads fall off and a code is called for a false alarm, but if they are unconscious and not responsive you should shock them.

Dr. A's common rule is to shock people, unless they aren't really dying.
