Intro:

Welcome to NORMAL.

A place where cryptids are real, strange things hide just out of sight, and being normal might cost more than you think.

This is the official side blog for our webcomic, NORMAL, run by:

🦨📕 Mr. Skunk (@meester-skunk ) — Co-creator, artist, professional cryptid enthusiast. i have no clue what's going on but i hit Roadkill with my jeep so i've got that going for me.

 🦝🚗 Roadkill (@r0adkill13 ) — Co-creator, artist, writer, professional cryptid enthusiast, and the one responsible for making the story actually make sense. Doing my best to draw from under the car.

What's NORMAL about?

V Madison just wants to be a normal kid.

The only problem? There's a horn growing out of his head.

When a mysterious man named Zain promises he can make it disappear, all V has to do is collect four cryptid parts. Easy... right?

Joined by his best friend Flor, they go out to get these biofacts through a town of unknown creatures, fear, and choices that become harder to decide with every step.

Sometimes the most difficult thing about becoming normal... is choosing how far you are willing to go to be normal.

some drawing i made of V and Flor a while ago. idk how i feel about it now, its a bit old and the designs have changed a bit, but it could definitely be worse

anyways these are the main characters of the upcoming webcomic that @mister-skunk and i are working on! hopefully coming this summer!

(someone pls give me a name for this comic open heart surgery would be easier that figuring out what to call this thing)

Thank you so much to everyone who suggested a name, it really means a lot to us. As promised, here are the bust sketches for everyone who has responded to me so far! I feel kinda bad since they aren’t amazing quality but i have enough stuff going on right now that that is what i was able to get done, so i hope everyone likes them!

Help name our webcomic please!

Hello! I'm Road, and my friend (@mister-skunk) and I are working on a webcomic that is set to come out on July 22, 2026! We have the script done, the characters designed, and even a bit of the art done by now. The only problem is we don't have a name yet. We have had a few ideas and many vibes for it, but a name that we both LOVE love.

SO, we've decided to ask here for help! For every submission we get one of us will draw a bust of (almost) any character of your choice! This can be OCS, sonas, movie or book characters, pretty much anyone you want! We can refuse some if we aren't comfortable, but just don't be weird and it should be fine :)

If someone comes up with a name that we end up 100% using (or just mostly), we are willing to give them a full body drawing of whichever character they use!

The summary of the webcomic is this:

"V Madison thinks he’s a pretty normal kid, if you ignore the horn growing out of his head. Which most people don’t, despite his best efforts. Even the wind seems to hate him, as it blows his hat off while he is talking to the first adult that’s been kind to him in a while. But this guy doesn't seem mad or disgusted. No, he almost seems… Excited? This stranger, Zain, says that if V can get 4 parts of different cryptids, Zain can make his horn disappear. Armed with his best friend Flor’s help and much less knowledge than he’d like, they set out to get these objects. But as the parts get harder and harder to get, V has to ask himself what is at stake if he can or can’t get these things, and what he is willing to do to be normal."

The story is also just about like cryptids , friendship, and if the ends always justify the means (though this not as much until the end)

The name options we have right now are Violent Smiles, and How To Lose a Horn/How To Get Rid of a Horn

Some things that I personally like for the name would be for the abbreviated name to be VS, for the name to have something in it as ___ v.s. ___, or something to do with vultures? (the connotation of them though, there are no actual vulture birds in the story)

Of course, names that don't fit this are fine as well, just some potential ideas :)

So leave a name idea! Its practically free art, you may as well!

5 days until NORMAL!!!

There are only 5 days until the first 3 pages of NORMAL release!

It'll have been exactly one year since we started working on this webcomic. It's crazy the things you can get done when you put your mind to something!

oh yeah haha! yeaaaa i should prbably start drawing some more pages, i kinda stopped drawing those and i need a buffer bigger than 2 pages XD. ill probably start working on more of them once artfight cools down a bit

but still!! less than 3 weeks till it starts!! im pretty excited!!! :D
