Going to school is scary. Children from those famous clans are intimidating, particularly the lavender-eyed Hyuuga princess. The pink-haired girl looks at her toes, the Hyuuga is glaring at her / angry again. Just like yesterday. Or the day before. In fact, Sakura can't remember how many times it has been Hinata snarled at her for no reason at all.

At least, there's that girl from the Yamanaka -- she seems nice. But quiet. And being a quiet child doesn't help if paired up with another introverted child as she. Maybe it is a bad idea to start school this year. Or any other year. Why does she need to train to become a ninja anyway?

" M-Me..?! " it is a little unexpected to hear from that Namikaze kid, so much so her voice squeaked a little. Feeling someone’s eyes are on her again, she looks over at the spot she’s seen Hinata last, byakugan on full display, “ I’m alright staying here. “

People want to ignore what they can’t understand. They’re looking for logic at any cost. / ino

Emerald hues looks on at him, a safe distance away from where she is walking with Ino. There’s no mistaking it is him. How can she forget even if she’s been trying so hard to.

“ It is human nature to seek for explanation, Ino-chan. I do it all the time. Not that I will find what I am looking for or discover something new. But it takes my mind off of things even for a few minutes. Cheat myself to believing I am done obsessing over something ( someone ) but in truth I am not. Far from it, ” she glances towards him once more. Not too far from him the lavender-eyed girl she fights for his attention all the time; probably taking her chance since she isn’t around.

Letting go of a sigh, she averts her eyes to look at Ino instead. But doing so accidentally turns her gaze over another teammate flirting with a random girl from their Village. His arms wrapped around the waist of his newest prospect, whispering sweet nothings judging by the way the girl looks so pleased.

She looks away instantly.

It stings the same -- where is the logic in that?

Ignoring the tiny voice in her head, she smiles at Ino, “ Ne, are we going to check that new place for some tea? ”

Sakura scrunched her face, turning her neck enough to glance Ino’s way, emerald eyes filled with questions over her choice of comparison.

" Ghosts, huh? “ murmuring, pondering what brought forth Ino’s quip. A few moments -- the thought finally settles in. Brooding over its meaning, a smile now that Ino’s statement makes full sense , “ True;  the pain comes and goes when you least expects it...and gives you the creeps when it is late at night. Then, the more you try ignoring it, the more you can feel it is looking at you, preventing you to sleep. “

Emerald eyes now sombre albeit producing a light hearted chuckle at a thought.
