Nix nearly dropped the book in her hand as she heard a sudden voice in the bookstore. Normally during such weather, not many people came in. In fact, this business was rarely crowded unless some sort of popular book came out. Though it wasn't just the voice that caused the silverette to experience a temporary moment of panic. He must've seen the little guest she brought in from the rain.

So quickly she stepped out of behind one of the bookshelves and scooped up a small black cat. "I'm so sorry about that, Sir! I.. wasn't able to get a hold of the owner but I couldn't leave this little guy out in the rain." Sure, the rain stopped for now but it could always start back up! What if the cat wandered off to an area where he wouldn't get dry? "Oh right um.. Did you come looking for anything specific?"

"It's not a good idea to sniff it! It has a strong smell!" An incredibly strong odor of whatever chemicals were used to make it.. Plus alcohol.

Maybe it was good that Nix still wore gloves over her hands.. There were still dangerous things to her health about!

While it was a dream come true to attend the academy, Nix failed to take something into account. She had been isolated from others around her age for nearly her entire life so far. Interacting with others was harder than it appeared and it was almost terrifying how others could pick up on things. Like the fact she almost always wore gloves, seemed to avoid the bare minimum of physical contact with other people, and the fact she took medication already got leaked in her dormitory. Honestly, she just needed some fresh air to avoid the possible pressing questions.

Though her solitude didn't last long as a voice caught her attention. The silverette looked over to see Judai, a Slifer student that had been causing quite a stir lately. There was no doubt when it came to his capabilities as a duelist! Though it did make her question the ranking system put in place here. "It's not too forward.. At least I don't think it is. I'm still getting used to talking with people." Anyone that wasn't a hospital worker, doctors, or her parents. "A friend would be nice.. Though don't feel like you have an obligation to stay here and talk. I'm sure you have other things to do at the moment."

A breath of relief escaped Nix she saw the all too familiar bottle in Yusei's hand. She had just picked up that prescription and was terrified when her belongings got scattered during a accidental fall. "Thank you so much! I don't know what I would've done if I lost those." Probably have to return to the hospital until replacements could be given. Without that medication, her body would've started getting weak and sickly again as it faded from her system.

At least that worst case scenario was avoided thanks to Yusei! The silverette stepped forward to accept the item from him, adding it to her bag along with the other belongings she managed to save. "I hope I didn't interrupt you on the way to anything important, Yusei.."

"That obvious huh?" Of course it was! Nix was still adjusting to being out in society to start with. This included learning how to find her away around this large city and so far.. it wasn't going well. Everywhere almost looked the same and most people seemed far too busy to bother with giving directions. So to have someone at least acknowledge the truth of the situation was a blessing.

"I am lost though! You aren't wrong about that." This was Nix's chance to finally get to where she needs to be and possibly make an acquaintance at the same time. That is if her social awkwardness didn't kick in at the worst possible time. "I was trying to find the library but got turned around somewhere.. So the directions I got now are basically useless." Everything looked so different at ground level in comparison to the window high up in the hospital.
