That was about the right word to describe how Lexi felt and how she felt about the rest of the world. It didn’t help that the boys and her had been constantly on the run from Lucifer and Michael, and that Cas was always dragged in to said problems and still had problems on his own to deal with, somehow making it their problem as well.
The one little bit of bliss was that the boys and Lexi had somehow found a home hidden from civilization in Oregon. Some underground bunker that had been used for the end of days, when the apocalypse happened and humans burrowed underground to spend the rest of their possible lives in. The boys had refashioned it into a nice home, with a main room and bedrooms to branch off into and a kitchen and everything they could possibly need. It was nice.
They had been on a hunting trip for a few days now and left Lexi there to watch over the place and help research if need be. She was a hunter yes, but the two were almost too protective of her that some hunts they refused that she come along and instead stay at home and do whatever. She couldn’t exactly refute either, but she did whatever she wanted to, as long as she didn’t leave.
However the bunker had very little to no protection demon-wise. Dean and Sam hadn’t heard much from Crowley due to him fighting with Lucifer over the throne, causing him to go ghost almost constantly, but they thought that it was a good thing to be out of their hair and into someone elses finally.
She had been reading multitudes of lore that were spread out in the middle of the giant table in the middle room when she thought she heard a noise. She looked around, then shrugged it off, blaming the old age of the bunker. Honestly, what place as old as this didn’t make noise?
