This was a bad idea.
CC’s main motivation for coming to this place was the absolutely sensory hell that was being incorporeal but having a mind that remembered a body, a mind that remembering sensation but being unable to actually feel it.
Chara Haven, thus, seemed appealing in this way; every Chara got a body upon entering, so if they agreed to its terms, they would get an opportunity to truly feel things before inevitably returning to their own timeline. After all, Frisk would be waiting for them.
But what they hadn’t anticipated was the fact that they were required to stay, at least for a while in the beginning.
CC...didn’t do well with other people, they didn’t do well with strangers, and they didn’t do well with being forced to live with strangers. Even if they were supposed to be decent people. Even if life here was supposed to be nice and pain free. Even if they were, technically, themself.
And...there was something off about this place. CC couldn’t quite place it, but...they couldn’t help but feel like there was no way they could stay here. That as nice as it (supposedly) is, they needed to move on, to get out of here, find some other kind of place to go. Once they got sick of wherever that was, then they’d move on again, and when they felt too repulsed by wherever that was, then they’d moved on again, forever and ever and ever...
Maybe the issue was that this was supposedly somewhere they belonged, when CC learned a long time ago that no such place existed for them.
But as much as they tried, they couldn’t find the door out of here. CC went back to the place where they entered from and paced, and paced, and paced, but it never appeared; all there was was air, as if nothing had ever existed there in the first place.
And so they decided that there was nothing left to do but return to their cabin and sulk evaluate their situation.
As they pushed open the door, CC sighed in relief to see that no one was immediately visible. Being around other Charas was really the last thing they needed right now, when their whole goal was attempting to get the hell out of this saccharine hell.
Perhaps this was an opportunity.
On their first day, CC had taken their allotted chocolate bar, and immediately threw it into the most obscure place they could think of: the upper cabinet, where others would mostly likely never check. They, despite it being their first day, already got to observe just how awful and terrible all the other Charas were when it came to stealing chocolate, and thus they required a plan to keep their own for themself in cases of emergencies. Emergencies such as being frustrated and upset over not being able to leave a place they thought would just be a day trip but instead turned into a sudden detainment.
CC entered the cabin’s small food preperation, and made a beeline for the cabinet in question. So, they just needed to grab it from their...
...and...
...and...
...they were such a fool; if no one else could grab it, how were they supposed to? CC stood up on their tiptoes, but as much as tried and as hard as they reached, it was quite clear that this was simply not going to happen.
Well. If someone wasn’t working, then they needed to find a new approach. If they couldn’t reach it by stretching from the ground, perhaps they could if they got a bit closer...?
So CC mustered their strength and pulled themself onto the counter. Unfortunately for them, a combination of the noise they were making and their own preoccupation with focusing on not falling meant they completely missed the person who just entered the food preparation area after them.

Oh - ! Well… I can’t say I didn’t miss this. You’ll keep me safe, right?
[Gabriel blinks] Of course... Safe from what?

"I helped you, I never really got your permission. You can always tell me no, y’know. I’d be very sad, of course…" Either way, the younger angel is wrapping her arms tightly around Gabriel’s shoulders. "I missed you."
"Eh, I don't like the word 'no', anyway. And, of course, if it makes you sad, I could never." Gabriel grins at her slightly, his own hands finding her waist. "I missed you, too. It's been too long, you know."
