It was unclear how long he'd been waiting- then again, that was a detail that didn't really matter. Whether it'd been minutes or hours, there was reason for concern when Fubuki entered to find his bed occupied by someone else.
Blacklight looked up when he heard him come in, then got up off the bed, pushing himself into a standing position with his tails. He didn't smile, just stared blankly for a few seconds. Then-
"Come with me."
How pure are you?
Tagged by: @codetalked thank you so much Tagging: @codetalked I am begging you to do this for Ai
But more importantly:
“It wasn’t a clone, but this one time I met myself from a different reality and he was a servant to an evil overlord, and then he kidnapped my boyfriend. Twice. I really don’t recommend the experience.”
Chosaku awkwardly reaches towards the dragon and places one large hand firmly on what he assumed corresponded to its shoulder. The reading he had been doing suggested that physical contact was a necessary bonding activity, though the book was of course aimed at errant children rather than forces of nature. "There, there," he said, unconvincingly. (viewfromthepinnacle - he's trying, really he is!)
A low rumble comes from The Void, its wings folding back in- While Jun can’t possibly say that he finds Chosaku’s awkward gesture particularly comforting, as he suspects is the intent purely for lack of any other explanation, it is undeniably hilarious. He makes no moves to stop it. There’s a flash of teeth, followed by tongue.
Blep.

Ran laughed as she reached down to the dragon and slipped an arm under his wing. It seemed as natural a hold as any other option, given the circumstances. “Believe me, I’d be more than happy to throw you back in that hellhole Fubuki dragged you out of, but the summoning thing doesn’t work for me. Oof, you’re heavy. How much do you eat?”
Ran was still on a high from the duel and the adrenaline helped her to pull Blacklight to a more upright position. There was regret, but no shame, in losing to who they had, and with no time to edit their decks to work better in tag format. But the duel itself had been a thrill, and for once, in such company, Ran had truly felt like her every move, every word, mattered. Still, Blacklight had done everything he could to upstage her.
“Why do you put yourself in your deck if it hurts you? It’s not some macho bullshit, is it?”
"Because," Blacklight said, the word so pointed that it was probably illegal in at least a few human countries, "That duel just now was the perfect example of what happens when I don't do everything myself."
The blow of that jab was admittedly lessened somewhat by the way he immediately started clinging, nails digging into whatever bits of fabric he could get his hands on in a nonverbal communication of distrust. He wouldn't put it past Ran to drop him for less, but it was the truth and it needed to be said no matter the risk.
"I would've been just fine if you weren't too incompetent to play around my powers."
“Listen, asshole. I’m gonna carry you home whether you like it or not. you’re not in any condition to get there yourself.” (to BL from Ran. And no, she hasn't bargained on the extra wing weight, so either way this will be a disaster :D )

The blow to his pride was worse than any impact on his physical condition. He could've easily reversed that by ignoring her and hurting himself further, growled threateningly at Ran to make said point, but to his credit he was also smart enough to recognise that she was right - Which was 90 percent of the reason her words pissed him off as much as they did.
That, and the fact that it was her fault they'd lost that duel. And that, despite it being her fault, she hadn't been the one getting hurt on the field.
That he wasn't attempting to get up on his own was about as much in the way of permission as he was willing to give. His tails twitched back and forth, a display of irritation, and he lowly hissed, "Define home."
Looking a little... pale, there, BL. Not going to answer?
His feathers do the annoyed cat thing as he throws his arms into the air.
“Kill all three, I guess!”
"-Wait no, I need Ragnarok for their ascended form..."
