​​“Even though it didn’t work in the beginning—” A small smile came upon his lips, nostalgia filling him— “I definitely will never regret meeting him,” Yusaku expressed, turning his head as the door opened, and met eyes of blue he’d grown so much fond of.

Hello, may I request an aesthetic for my muse, Yusaku Fujiki? I'm not sure what would be easiest for you, whether it be solo or with a ship, so if a ship is easier, then pair him with either Ryoken Kogami or Takeru Homura ( or both! ). 6.  Do you have an OT3 for your muse?

Not particularly, but I feel like any two of the Thieves would probably work - the Thieves in general are great shipping materiel because they all have that strong trust and bond with one another, they’ve always shown their vulnerable side to each other.  They’ve been bonded by a truly unique experience that no one else could ever really understand. I would love to try an OT3 with two other Thief muses.

I’ve never polyshipped myself - I’m awkward enough as it is when it comes to broaching the subject of regular ships and also to me polyshipping is a bit more complicated because it could possibly involve more than just two muns.  You want to make sure there’s a good amount of balance there - that it feels like a really whole and equal relationship and not just mostly consisting of Muse A/Muse B while Muse C is just sort of left out or not involved as much.  I do feel like there is a certain amount of trust that should go into handling such a ship and if given the chance, I’d love to try it out with other muns.  I’m certainly not opposed to the idea - there are many different types of relationships out there and polyships are every bit as valid and real as any other relationship so why not?

7.  Is your muse difficult to ship with?

In a sense, yes and no - Ryuji is obviously a muse who’s got this double life and as I’ve mentioned several times, it’s something that I take rather seriously and should be handled quite delicately.  I’ve only really discussed the idea of mentioning he’s Skull with really only one person - a trusted friend and shipping partner and even that’s a bit of a touchy subject because you want to handle it well and give it the emotional depth that it deserves.  It’s definitely not a reveal that should be handled lightly.

As far as non PT muses/OC’s/Crossover muses go - I’d say he’s easy enough to ship with - he’s a very affectionate and friendly muse which I think works well in terms of shipping.  I think to me what matters above all else is their chemistry and how they get along - if you could see them as as a couple.  For some muses, you come to the conclusion they’re better off as friends or maybe with a sibling like dynamic, for other muses the chemistry just seems to naturally be there - or ships can come about from a result of plotting or my chemistry with the other mun - like I adore the other mun so much that I feel comfortable shipping with them and their muse.  There’s a lot of factors involved, I think.

To be honest, I tend to trust in my instincts and in the chemistry between the two (or more) muses before actually bringing it up.  If it’s there, then it’s there - if not, no big deal there are other sort of ships we can do.  Can never have enough wholesome friendships.

sorry I let someone skip the queue on you but answering asks is easier than writing fic, you know?

   The opportunity to be someone else, the opportunity to appear as someone else, deeply entwined as Yusaku devised his VRAINS avatar. He let the face scanner almost perfectly copy him, but he soon came to loathe the similarities. He had an identity to protect; privacy to protect. So, he was quick to change it. 

   The most obvious change that he made was to the hair; wrenching it from blue and pink to yellow and orange. Satisfied with that, Yusaku skewed the avatar’s age so the avatar before him would look older but not by much as Yusaku couldn’t comprehend being older than he was. Sometimes, he still felt exactly like the child who had been taken more so than the adolescent that he truly existed as. 

   So, the shoulders turned broader and a little bit of extra height. The skin of the avatar turned sleek; no riddled with the acne that plagued him in real life. And he changed the eyes too. Made them bigger with longer eyelashes; girlishly, long. 

   He liked who he became when he delved into the digital realm. He liked being someone else. He liked pretending he was someone else. First as Unknown and then later as Playmaker. But all novelties wear thin and soon, notoriety took place. Infesting himself and infesting the Link VRAINS.

   Soon enough, before Yusaku even realised it, really, he and Playmaker… they weren’t the same person. He wasn’t someone pretending to be someone else. When he submerged into the data, so all-consuming, Playmaker took over and people regarded him as a separate entity to Playmaker. It made sense. No one knew he was Playmaker and no one knew him to know that Playmaker was he.

   But again, things change. Like the wind. One day, it was slanted this way and the next day, it was slanted another way. A little directional change and within it, a change twinged within Yusaku’s heart and he found company.

   The more he associated himself as one person and Playmaker as another person, the more complicated the feelings became. It was a secret; a fervent one that burned in his heart, in the darkness and in the wind and it became something else. Something not easily identifiable and yet so blindingly obvious.

   It became love. After all, Yusaku found it difficult to make friends. He had allies. He found it extremely difficult to relate with others, to come out of his shell. Especially when his shell, in a skin-tight catsuit and with the appearance that he idolised, was so appealing. It was all consuming and so, so comfortable and satisfying.

   It was something to hold onto. Because one, it was him. Because two, it was him as he wished he could be. And three, because it wasn’t him at all but someone else, someone who completed him and comforted him in ways beyond camaraderie.

If Revolver was honest with himself he had to admit, that he didn’t expect to face the other one again so soon after the fall of the tower. On the other side.. he hadn’t expected to log into Link Vrains so soon again either. Or Playmaker being around here. The latest probably was the one thing that surprised him the most. 

After all.. he was rather well aware the fact why Playmaker had been coming into vrains at all.To find him. To get his revenge. He reached that goal so it just didn’t made sense in the older ones eyes. But while he had been trying to keep track of the whereabouts of the lost incidents victims it had been become rather obvious that Yusaku hadn’t left his house in days. So at one point looking for him here was the only option left in his eyes - because breaking into the teens flat just to check if he was still alive was something he didn’t considered as possibility at all. 

Well... in the end he did find the other one. But something just felt wrong about this whole meeting. 

“After all that has happen between us... you still haven’t given up on that silly thought of us having a future together?”

I dunno if you saw my tweet on this implication, but I kinda wish there was a flashback that revealed Miyu being kidnapped because she would visit that park still, waiting for Aoi. And that Aqua revealed this truth to her, which would lead Aoi to feeling remorse for her lie and thinking that if she hadn’t done that, Miyu wouldn’t have gotten kidnapped? If that makes sense?

Completely valid. I’m not sure if I saw your tweet, but what you’re saying here seems to be the same? And while I say that I like what we got, it doesn’t mean I believe we couldn’t have gotten something better. Your idea of a flashback would definitely have made a bigger emotional impact. Which make me wonder if there’s perhaps going to be more to it next week? It’s probably just wishful thoughts but hey, one can dream, right?
