Due to his RIDICULOUS height ( and the girl being nearly a foot shorter than him ), Biv fails to notice the stranger in front of him, nearly BOWLING her over as a result. He skids to a stop, s t u m b l i n g forward a few steps, landing him a CENTIMETER away from touching her back.
{ ☼ } "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry -- I almost ran into you! I should watch where I'm going -- I'm sorry!"
Andandand then one day they notice that Odette never stops babbling about farm animals and wanting to go and visit a farm. Joshua has the brilliant idea to take her to one that very week. Sébastien agrees most wholeheartedly, and so, later that week they load up the car and take a trip to Sébastien’s old gardener’s home (they almost get hopelessly lost many times): Mr. Hobson, who was, in fact, a farmer in the countryside. He’s got many different animals and different veggies and fruits.
They're dressed most nicely, Odette in a light green sundress, Joshua in an Olive slim-fit shirt and khaki pants, and Sébastien in her denim overalls and green t-shirt all wearing woven straw hats with green sashes. (Sébastien had wanted all of them flowing, like a family should.)
Mr. Hobson’s taken by surprise but most certainly content to have visitors, especially it being Sébastien. Mr. Hobson thinks of Odette as the most endearing child he’s ever seen, what with her enthusiasm for assisting Mr. Hobson with the farm work. They spend the day working with Mr. Hobson on the farm, feeding and bathing animals, picking some of the crops, and even herding the sheep. After a few hours, Joshua and Sébastien decide to rest, Odette still bursting with energy and Mr. Hobson used to the amount of work.
The two head into Mr. Hobson’s cottage, entering the kitchen and looking around, finding lemons. They make lemonade together, smiling and laughing, recounting certain aspects of the day they’d just spent together.
When they finish making the lemonade, they head out the door that leads to the back area of the cottage. They call for Odette and Mr. Hobson, telling them that there is lemonade ready. There is a small table and chairs, along with a hammock that hangs between two apple trees. Sébastien puts the tray of lemonade down and goes to the hammock, feeling it and for some reason, becoming increasingly happy. Before she lies down in it, she takes off her sweaty shirt and stretches, resulting in Joshua almost dropping the glasses he’s brought out (thank goodness he was already in the process of placing them on the table.) He sneaks up behind Sébastien and wraps his arms around her, pushing her onto the hammock as Sébastien yelps in surprise.
Joshua just starts kissing her, and touching her, unbelievably turned on by the fact that Sébastien just isn’t wearing a shirt and she’s sweaty and oh, Merlin, his skin is so heated that Sébastien’s pretty much been asking for this all day. They’re embracing and making out, fondling all over and moaning quietly until they hear this small voice and feel a tug on the hammock.
Of course, they suddenly realise that Odette is right there and they flip over, landing on the ground in a very compromising position. They don’t think they’ve ever been this happy about the fact that Odette is young and doesn’t know anything about sex-- they’d’ve been in big trouble.
Odette’s confused and Hobson’s laughing while Joshua is looping an arm around Sébastien and well, Sébastien just scowling and blushing. She shoves Joshua off, standing up and lifting Odette, taking her to the table and serving her a glass of lemonade.
They drink lemonade as Hobson continues to subtly poke fun at them, and when they’re done, they head to the chicken coop to gather eggs.
Two hours later Mrs. Hobson comes home, happy that there is company over. As Mr. Hobson rests in their small living room, watching the television, the rest of them are in the kitchen preparing dinner. Joshua and Sébastien only have time to wash the vegetables before Mrs. Hobson ushers them out of the kitchen, stating that she was going to make a surprise dinner-- as a celebration.
She makes a large dinner of chicken pot pie (she doesn’t say chicken out loud, assuming that Odette helped pick out eggs and would be attached to the chickens) that everyone deems delightful. They’re eating and conversing, Mr. and Mrs. Hobson interested in how Sébastien found such a nice young woman. Joshua blushed, something that Sébastien took as a sign of continuing. Sébastien told them of how they met, how they fell for each other, the two years of absence, and then the reuniting.
Every time Sébastien mentioned Joshua, Joshua flushed pink.
Mr. and Mrs. Hobson seemed touched by Sébastien’s storytelling, the Missus shedding a small tear. She asked about Odette, She must be Sébastien, she looks just like you.
Sébastien confirmed it, smiling towards his daughter. But she is Joshua’s daughter too, he told them plainly, and that was truth.
After dinner, while they gathered around the chimney to toast marshmallows, Sébastien came up with a briliant idea, he whispered it in Joshua’s ear-- he thought it perfect. Together they asked aloud, asking the Hobsons if they would like to be Odette’s godparents. Joshua encouraged them, gushing about how he had just met them that day for the first time and he completely loved them. This would be perfect. The elder couple are flattered and completely happy, agreeing quickly.
After eating their molted marshmallows, they bade each other goodbyes. Odette was already asleep, Sébastien holding her and ignoring the drool that dripped from her mouth onto the mother’s shoulder-- she’d grown accustomed to it. They all kissed goodbye, Joshua and Sébastien saying that they’d visit at least every other week.
Once Odette was strapped into her seat, they made their way back to where they live after such a wonderfully perfect day. As Joshua drives, Sébastien, for a moment, begins to cry, talking about how the day had been so beautiful. Joshua leans over and kisses Sébastien, swerving the car for a moment which makes Sébastien have a heart attack. Joshua goes back into the correct lane, it’s all good, and he’s laughing.
When they make it back, they unpack and take the little girl upstairs, tucking Odette into her bed. They look at her and then at each other, embracing tightly and then walking hand in hand to their own room.
Sébastien says loudly that she is going to shower and Joshua, a tired lump of man on the rocking chair in the corner of the room merely hums in reply. He can hear Sébastien huff in annoyance and begin to tap her foot. He looks up and sees Sébastien with an angry expression and crossed arms. Sébastien enunciates the word shower slowly.
Oh. Uh. Like thaaaat...
And just as fast as lightning, they’re no longer tired. they manage to get into the shower in a flurry of clothes-removing, alive and without tripping. Sébastien skillfully turns the shower on as she’s touching Joshua and as soon as the water begins to flow, it’s all changed. They’re slick and wet and this all feels so great. They’re kissing and fondling, they’re embracing and they’re throbbing for one another.
They make love slowly and tenderly. It’s slow-moving, filled with emotions and whispered words of love, names, cries of pleasure, and panting.
When they both finish, they take a bubble bath together, cleaning one another. Once cleaned and content, more tired than before, they collapse onto the bed, bare, hugging, and kissing.
