 A gloved hand reaches up even as Edward steps back, nervously touching his tie. Reassures himself it is in place as it needs to be. “Thank you, Ed. You will be at my side, yes?” When put so neatly, the fact of how many people will be watching is a touch overwhelming. Something he can manage well enough, but easier to do so if he has Edward’s presence as his support. “I’m more worried about the facts and questions then smiling. We need this conference in our favour.”

“I’m sure your statements will hold more... bearing when you aren’t seen with a,” He raised his hands to illustrate the insinuated quotations with his fingers, “‘Ex-lunatic’ whispering in your ear.  You’ll do wonderfully, with or without me, I’m sure of it.” To that, he gave Oswald’s arm what he felt was an assuring pat.

Caitlin has just finished saying goodnight to Cisco and HR when she walks out of the STAR Labs building. With her keys in her hand, she looks down and presses the unlock button. It was just another day at the Lab for her, there really wasn’t an unusual amount of metas for the team to handle today, so it was pretty quiet. Caitlin even did some more tests on Wally’s vitals when she had a second.  He was still training beside Barry to try and stop Savitar.  Jesse even came from Earth 2 once in a while to help when she could.  And now with Julian on their team, they just seemed a bit more unstoppable.

However, when Caitlin stops near her driver door, a familiar sense of deja vu sets her heart off into a leap; as if someone is watching her again.  Clutching her keys tightly into her hand, Caitlin lifts her head and turns around.  Maybe she was hoping that Ronnie would be there again, watching her from afar.  That was years ago, and in some sense, Caitlin has moved on.  Healthier for her own heart and piece of mind, it would be something that she knew Ronnie would want for her.

Realizing that she is alone, Caitlin gets into her car and drives off.  On the quiet drive back to her apartment, her head can’t stop thinking about a cup of coffee because that’s all HR does.  Smiling to herself, Caitlin pulls over just in time so she can make a quick run into Jitters.

A few minutes in the coffee shop and the former scientist walks out into the busy bustling streets of Central City.  It’s a perfectly cool summer’s night for a Saturday evening.  As people walk by chatting with their friends and loved ones, all Caitlin can think about is getting back to her living room, kicking her heels off and maybe catching a movie on Netflix. The bucket was heavy as she held it in her hands. She was standing in the middle of an overgrown strawberry patch and it was rather difficult to navigate through it without first carefully calculating her steps to avoid stepping on any fruits,  and while holding a heavy bucket half full of strawberries to just make things more difficult and in the oppressive summer heat nonetheless. “God, why is jam so important?” Sure she liked jam, it was nice on toast and english muffins but she didn’t think her mother needed this many strawberries but of course, she wasn’t thinking of all the pies, cakes, and many other desserts her mother was considering. “My hands are starting to hurt.”

Max was getting tired. They had been climbing up this damn hill for at least an hour and Lucas drank the remainder of their water. So needless to say, she was pissed. It was a hot July afternoon and she was a little sweaty from the physical activity so she was gonna need a shower once she got home. “God, how much farther?” Mike and El had scurried off for “curfew.” She couldn’t help an eye roll. What a load of bullshit, it was just four in the afternoon. They wanted to kiss. “This shit is getting heavy, you know!” Having strength like her brother would sure come in handy right now but considering she wasn’t a muscle maniac like him, she’d have to make due.

Ed was doing everything in his power to keep calm and professional, eyes locked out the window as their car pulled up to the appointed meeting place. Oswald had told him about these sorts of operations, briefed him on what to expect, and of course he’d had his own experiences of studying the aftermath of meetings like this that had gone wrong, with the GCPD... even so, he felt both out of place and excited. 

“Oswald,” He finally glanced over, pushing his glasses up his nose, “I know you said I was simply here to observe, but if I can be of any help...”

Barry was hesitant. He didn't understand why it had to be this way. Savitar was going to take everything he loved from his grasp and there seemed to be no way Barry could stop him. How could he when he threatened his entire life? And Iris, she would always be in danger because of him, it was one of the reasons why Barry promised to keep her safe, and that she was his best friend.

The way Barry paced STAR Labs, he was going to leave a hole in the floor if he didn't stop. But an idea came to Barry, something he wouldn't have thought of it he hadn't been pacing for so long.

"Cisco, can you do me a favor?" Barry asked with a sly smile crossing his lips.

It was in that instant that Barry walked through a portal that landed him in National City on Earth 38 in an old friend's apartment. "Hey, I need your help." Barry said with a grin as he looked at Kara and Alex who were sitting on the couch. And then he blushed and dipped his head, running a hand over the back of his neck.
