“Right,” Caitlin says with a small, grateful smile before she too follows Barry and takes a seat across from him. Everything looked delicious. She couldn’t wait to have it, maybe even indulge a little more since Barry prepared such a lovely breakfast.
“I’m still really sorry I took over your bed last night,” she mumbles as she helps herself to some coffee. “Usually, I don’t end up falling asleep in someone else’s bed,” she utters, realizing that it was supposed to be a thought and not spoken aloud. “oh,” Caitlin’s cheeks turn a little pink as she then laughs.
“I tucked you in after you kinda… well, dozed off on the couch. It’s fine, Caitlin. Really.”
Barry is piling a plate high with all kinds of culinary delights. It’s nice to have someone to actually talk to for a change.
Maybe she just needs a good night’s rest. She seemed to have gotten it, sleeping in Barry’s bed and all. She hadn’t had a nightmare, she didn’t wake up with aches and pains. A though simply occurred to her then as she popped a piece of strawberry into her mouth.
“Where did you buy that mattress, Barry? It’s like a cloud,” she muses as she swallows the piece of fruit and reaches out for her cup of coffee.
