She still remembered clear as day when she was told something that for a long time she thought she would never hear.
“You no longer have to run from them.”
How the disbelief ran through her veins as she found it hard to believe. But when she lay in bed that night (a warm, stable bed with a solid roof and soft covers to wrap around herself), those words gradually sunk in as she closed her eyes and had the best sleep she’s had in years, tears of relief nearly streaming down as her seemingly impossible hope had proved to have come true. It was an.. adjustment from there. She felt out of place and still was at quite an awkward state with what she still is and the very unclear path in front of her of where to go from now. Really, what can she do? For around two weeks she just ambled around, not having much of a routine aside from practicing her abilities and swimming laps (and occasionally baking during days that felt heavy with unsure thoughts).
Until she was told the truth. When the tablet that was given to her showed a secret that she never, ever would of guessed. By seeing how someone she thought she knew had a different side that she would of denied her having, had she not been shown the video of her at her worst. Feeling as if she had been given a punch to her middle, she ran again as if she could escape the truth that she did not want to accept. Locking herself in her room, she slid down to the floor with her back to the door as she struggled to breathe.
“N-No, no, no, no, not her, not her, not her.”
