She’d listened to Linda talking, analysing all the parts of the story Lilith had given her. It was mostly true, aside from the name (She’d booked the appointment under Mary Wardwell); she’d talked about a lack of having any real parents, of being left to her own devices from what was a relatively early age, of an abusive ex-husband that had, for all intents and purposes, put her off marriage for eternity and, to her surprise, she found the mortal’s answers were not ridiculous. Some of her thoughts and suggestions were even introspective enough for Lilith to actually consider them. She nodded in interest, listening to her talking still, giving her advice and professional opinions, before Lilith finally chose her moment to interrupt her.
“Alright, I’ve heard enough” She concluded, as she leaned back into the crook of the sofa, crossing her legs so that the red soles of her black high heeled shoes flashed a little, “Well, I can certainly see exactly why he’d keep coming here, though I imagine even for a woman of your...evident talents,” Lilith’s blue eyes flickered over the credentials that lay proudly behind the woman’s desk, “He’d prove quite a chore. He usually does. And his issues are, after all, even more ancient than mine” She mulled this over for a moment, biting her lip in thought about all that Dr Martin had managed to make Lilith think about. She pursed her red lips together a moment before looking back at the blonde again and added, “Lucifer” in explanation of just who, precisely, she was talking about.
“He and I go back a very, very long time” She explained with a devilish smile, “I’m afraid I might have told a little lie when I came here. My name, primarily” She leaned forward and held out her scarlet-nailed hand for Linda to shake “Lilith” She introduced herself, before adding, in case the name wasn’t...familiar to the psychologist; “Mazikeen’s Mother”
