Brynhildr toddles up to Loridi and holds a little dandelion up to him. "Lori, flower!" She gently places it on his shoe and then waddle-runs away, babbling to herself about snacks and nap time.
As the infant toddles up to him, the young god watches cautiously, as if Brynhildr might throw an explosive tantrum from which he will never recover at any moment. He squints at the weed she shows him and goes rigid when she places it on him. He’s about to correct her because his name is Loridi, not Lori, and that is most definitely not a flower, but there’s something about her voice that has him so close to smiling he has to cover it with his palm.
Loridi watches her walk away calculatingly, still hiding that almost smile as if it’s somehow a weakness. Still, after she’s a safe distance ahead of him but not quite out of sight he follows, just close enough so that if she falls he can right her in an instant. It’s not like she’s really going to be the youngest for much longer either. Then she’s just another kid, nothing special, and maybe he’ll be there to make sure that she doesn’t get forgotten if she needs him to.
