Arrie decides that she needs to figure shit out for herself before she can go to university. Selling most of her possessions, Arrie aims to go backpacking across the world, starting with the States. Her plans are cut short however one month in, when she saves a Project Cadmus geneticist from a group of thugs.  

Project Cadmus saw potential in Arelette’s unique abilities, and initially tried to recruit her. When she refused, they attempted to clone her using fallen pieces of her hair, but half of them died prematurely while the other half quickly proved too violent to safely use. Thus, Cadmus hunted her down. Arrie managed to evade them for weeks, but the geneticist she had saved was forced to trick her. Now with a G-Gnome named Crispr constantly perched on her shoulder, Arelette provides security, goes on various missions and donates her blood for both cloning and splicing research.

The events that happened to Arelette prior to her graduation in April 2013 are more or less assumed to have occurred. In this verse, she can be aged 20 years old and above.

“Help us?” Deceiver asked, her head and her G-Gnome’s head titling to the side in sync. “But we don’t need help. We’re okay. We came to help. That’s what heroes do, right?”

-“Send in Deceiver. She’s had a 100% success rate so far. This infiltration mission is perfect for her.”

~“Absolutely not! She is needed here, now more than ever! Her blood is valuable to our cloning research, and with our latest development, I don’t think we can afford a delay.”

Deceiver stood outside quietly, listening in on the heated conversation that was happening in the room that she was currently guarding. Both her and her G-Gnome had gotten restless lately, especially with the non-stop talks of finally sending her out again. It’s been such a long time, and the scientists at Cadmus were really testing their willingness to co-operate. 

A sudden sound from the other end of the hall caught both of their attention. Deceiver’s G-Gnome tried to find out who it was through its telepathic communication, but with no response, it ordered Deceiver to go investigate. With claws and fangs suddenly growing, the shapeshifter obeyed, anticipating a surprise attack.
