red still couldn’t believe granny was thinking of being helpful by giving her a large dowry. as if assuring that some gold hungry man wanting her would ever make the loss of peter any better. nothing could ever clean her hands of his murder. a husband was not going to make her forget that.
if anything it only exasperated the issue to the forefront of her mind.
snow was the only reason she was going through with this. her best friend had thought this might actually be a good idea. she wouldn’t have to live at home with granny any longer. red didn’t think she could take another pitying look from her elder and she had heard that there had been discussion between the two families that they would live closer to snow’s castle.
and what other man from her land would want to marry her? they all knew about her problem.
she resisted the urge to bite at her lips as this killian lifted up her red veil. “ hello... you.” she didn’t feel comfortable with intimate names, unlike this gentleman. a twist in her stomach appeared as she realized how much he looked like peter. that could not help. “ do you always go so... unshaved?” peter did...
