Lindzei gave a short huff of a chuckle. “Just confessing my feelings.”
‘okay then!’ she gives him a kiss on the cheek. ‘it’s still surprising, though.’

‘can i take your order? the breakfast menu is still available, if you were curious.’ she states, smiles at the woman.

‘may i take your order?’ she asks, jades shift over to the woman. she curls some hair behind her ear as well, pen in hand. ‘i can give you the specials if you’d like?’

jades widen at the sound of the door opening, her anxiety fades as people are swept in. crimson invades her vision, the abundant wounds getting to her head. these were her people. these were her friends. she places the back of her hand against her mouth, inhales deeply through her nose. she feels sick to her stomach, the sounds of friendly medics clambering to assistance. a hand is pressed against her belly, and she has to turn away, gaze at the supplies on the table.
when was this going to end? her thoughts are hazy as she grabs a bundle of bandages upon request. in, out. she breathes, tries to steady herself as she passes some of the supplies to her comrades. her gaze shifts around for her sister-- frantically searching for her. and she’s there, un-blemished even after the throes of war. she’s on her then, strokes her arms and is on the verge of tears.
‘you came back.’
it came to a surprise for her, as many of her comrades had fallen. she sniffs, crashes into her with a hug. she felt relieved-- happy.

she winces as the rag was laid across her skin-- the dampness helped immensely. ‘everything just seems to be going wrong today!’ yes-- she was very lucky. lucky for the water, and to have such a CARING sister.
