"Jun--wanted to leave you a message before someone else told you. My younger brother showed up here, and he's decided to stay on as a student, too. He's already met Judai and Tenjouin-senpai."

The incident had begun with a challenge, and not one issued to him. Thomas had chanced upon it by surprise--he had seen Jun Manjoume's communicator light up with the notification of a message while its owner was in the shower. He had sneaked into his bedroom to return a book unnoticed, and it had caught his eye.
Falsely polite, with a painted on smile that Thomas could recognize with ease; it was no different, after all, than the ones he had trained himself to wear.
The message was deleted at once, the communicator replaced, and the book left, all without any further trace of his presence in the space. He would go and tell the freshman duelist to leave Jun alone; that none of them had wanted anything to do with Obelisk White, and to duel someone else if he was so interested.
Intention would be different from reality, as was so often the case.
--------
Word spread throughout the student body the next day, starting from Obelisk Blue and trickling downward, that the Duel Arena was sealed off completely, and that anyone caught trying to sneak in would receive an immediate suspension. Rumors were as plentiful as trees in the forests-- there had been a fire, an attack, a murder, a break-in. Someone was in the care of the medical wing. There were two assailants, perhaps three, perhaps more. All that was certain was that someone had been admitted into the school's medical care.
The director had announced in the morning that all classes were canceled, and that all students would be asked to remain in their dormitories and to not leave them without staff escorts, until the situation was resolved. One sharp-eyed Ra Yellow girl had even claimed to have spotted a KaibaCorp helicopter flying in--a sure sign of trouble if Kaiba himself had been called in, or the younger vice president.
The one who had the most information, though, was the first eye-witness on the scene; none other than Asuka Tenjouin herself, who was more than willing to share what she'd seen that early morning.
--------
"He was actually causing damage with his attacks." She explained, her voice trembling and betraying her firm posture. Asuka grasped her brother's blazer around her shoulders, and curled inward on herself, back pressed against Jun's pillows. As it had been when he had been in the Osiris dorms, Jun's bedroom had become a central hub, for everyone to gather in.
"I didn't believe it at first. I thought that it was just part of Solid Vision; but it wasn't. He was actually holding Arclight-kun in place, and the attacks were making him bleed. When he won the duel, it was with a Fireball spell. It almost set the whole arena on fire. And his coat... he was definitely a White dorm student. There's no mistaking that."
Kaiser's jaw was firmly set with that--he crossed his arms and scowled, leaning against the edge of Jun's desk.
"Seems that once this lockdown's over... I'm going to have to pay Edo a courtesy call."
"What a creepy old building. Looks like it's falling apart. ... Should keep the rain out, though. Until I can steal a uniform from a harbor worker, I should be fine here. Aliens and ghosts can't be that different, anyhow."
