It was over but she was still afraid. There was no reason to think that water could ever hurt her again. He longed to have her see the wonders of it, to feel the peace of the waters in District Four. She always seemed to stand afar from where the waves came to touch the shore, only watching Finnick enjoy himself.
Finnick grabbed her hand, taking it up to his lips gently before looking up to her eyes. A very serious look was in his eyes. He wished to help her get over her fear. Finnick wanted to see the way she could be relaxed near the water, just as he could.
“Do you trust me?”
It was a simple question, no hints of his idea. No hints that he was going to slowly take her out into the water and help her overcome her fear.
