😘 - peppers my muse with kisses
Elsa woke to the feeling of warm lips pressing against her cheek. She peeked open one eye to see Killian perched on the edge of the mattress, looking down at her with that dreamy smile of his. But Elsa was having none of it. She was still sleepy and made it known by playfully batting his face away and rolling over to face the other side of the bed. He wasn’t going to get her out of bed by being his usual sweet, adorable self. No sir.
Except that he was.
It was no sooner than she closed her eyes that he was leaning over her again, pressing short pecks across her cheek, nose and forehead. Oh, she tried to hide under the blankets or shoo him by swinging a pillow, but it was too late. she was no match for his tender affection.
“Okay, okay-!” Elsa laughed, sitting up at last, “I’m up, you bully.”
@plasticsouled said: Killian left work early to surprise Elsa back home; cheesy birthday decorations lined the living room, a small homemade cake sitting on the coffee table, & one little present held behind his back in his robotic claw. When Elsa walked inside, Killian blew on one of those ridiculous noise makers, throwing confetti up in the air. With a soft laugh, he removed the noise maker & walked towards Elsa, placing a soft kiss to her lips. "Happy birthday, my love." //he wanted to do smth special akejgnagkj
It had been a long day of work. Elsa was drained and just wanted to go home and relax for a few hours before collapsing into bed. Even as she took the elevator up to her apartment, she barely managed to escape a work phone call that had been holding her hostage for over an hour. She managed to finally get a chance to hang up as her key turned in the lock and she opened her front door.
Needless to say... She had not been prepared for what followed.
She JUMPED backward at the sudden loud noise maker and blinked with wide eyes at what had become of her home. It... definitely didn’t look like this when she left that morning, right? No, no. She’d have noticed that. In stunned confusion, Elsa’s eyes traversed the room as she surveyed what Killian had done to the place they lived. It wasn’t until after he walked up and kissed her that she shook off her confusion and let out a laugh. This was so silly. So completely out of nowhere... But he’d gone through all this effort for her. It warmed Elsa’s heart. How did she ever get so lucky?
“Have I ever told you that you’re an absolutely ridiculous human being?” She teased, reaching up to playfully squish his cheeks before leaning up to give him another kiss. “I love you. Thank you. You didn’t have to do all this.”

“Yep. It’s an old family recipe.” A pause. “Not MY family but... Someone’s family.”
Elsa hummed as she stood over the stove finishing the home made hot chocolate. She never bought the packaged stuff. The powder stuff just wasn’t the same. And she never made it with water.
“When I was little I was sick a lot but my parents couldn’t be around to take care of me themselves a lot of the time. But I had Gerda and Kai. They’ve worked for our family since before Anna and I were born.” Elsa explained as she poor the rich, creamy hot liquid into two mugs. She picked up a can of whipped cream and put a small spiral on top of each before beginning to shave a light sprinkle of chocolate on each. “When I was having an extra bad day they’d make this for me. Once I was old enough to leave my room- and use the stove- I asked them to teach me how to make it. I’ve gotten pretty good at it.”
Dusting her hands off, Elsa took both mugs in her hands and walked over to join KIllian at the table. His was placed in front of him as she took a seat beside him.
“I may not be able to cook but I can make one hell of a cup of cocoa.”

“Get out of here! I’ll go back for the others and suppress the fire. Go!”
There was a time when Elsa thought those would have been the last words she’d ever say to Killian. After she’d run back into the red glow, the realization of what she’d chosen quickly began to set in. Between the burning heat and rising smoke, Elsa’s entire body stung. Breathing was like swallowing needles. She had enough of her ice gadgets to reach the people trapped inside... but what then?
Most weren’t willing to run into a collapsing building to save the criminals who just minutes before were trying to kill them. The people who STARTED this fire she was charging through. But Elsa was the only person with an immediate solution. The only one with the means to suppress the flames and give these people a chance at surviving. They were too far from civilization for anything else.... Help wasn’t coming. And the warehouse was coming down fast. So fast that as Elsa reached the trapped men, she’d barely managed to stop the fire and clear their exit.... Before the roof collapsed in.
The last thing she remembered before everything went black.
Some time later, she couldn’t tell how long precisely... She’d woken in a strange room surrounded by people she’d never met. An IV tube attached to her arm, the steady beeping of a heart rate monitor... And a powerful ache in her entire body. Dulled, hidden behind a wall of what was surely intense pain killers... But present. It took her at least a day to be conscious enough to ask questions. To find out where here friends were, if they made it out alright.... The people around her, the ones responsible for saving her life, she presumed, had no answers for her. They weren’t from the agency. They had no ties to them. No way of knowing. But they assured her that no Agency bodies were found at the scene so her friends must have made it out. Who were THESE people, then? As it turns out.... the people Elsa went back in to save. The ‘criminals’ whose plans they’d thwarted.
Elsa couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that they not only spared her life, but got her medical attention after the fact. But she came to find from a woman tending to her wounds- wounds Elsa’d not yet been allowed to see- that among the people Elsa had gone back in to save... Was their kingpin’s son. If Elsa hadn’t risked her own life, his child would be dead today... So he wanted to pay back the debt so things would be square... Elsa didn’t really have it in her to complain.
A day or two passed. It was hard to tell how long. She could tell she’d lost a lot of blood and she was covered in minor injuries. Things that would heal... But there had been extensive damage to her right leg. Damage they weren’t sure she’d ever fully recover from.. It would be up to other doctors with better medical equipment to decide if she would be able to... keep it. The wound was kept wrapped and out of sight. Elsa dared to look only once and sorely regretted it.She’d have it taken care of when these grateful souls returned her to her organization. To her friends. ... To Killian.
She’d worried about him endlessly. Ached over the fact that she couldn’t call him and tell him she was alive. Did he think she was dead? She had no way to tell him that she’d be coming home. No way of knowing HIS fate. Not knowing was one of the greatest torments Elsa had been forced to endure in her entire life. And THAT was saying something...
But the time came that one of the underlings managed to pull the right strings and find a guy who knew a guy who could get them a contact inside HTUV. Told them they had their agent and that if they wanted her, they needed to come and take her. Turned out Elsa was being held in a very temporary base in one of the kingpin’s old homes. The address was passed along to Joy and the trade was set to go down with only a couple agents... Just the right ones for the job.
When they arrived, a couple armed but non-hostile goods led them in to where Elsa was being held. She sat on the bed, alive and... mostly well. Her scrapes, bruises and burns were mostly healing. Some darker purple splotches still colored her pale skin but it was clear they would only be temporary. Te most gruesome of her injuries- her leg- was covered by her blankets but clearly propped up for circulation. She was trying to take her mind off of the stress of her friends finally coming for her by watching television... But her eyes and mind were drawn quickly from it by the sounds of footsteps entering the room. And a familiar shadow darkened the doorway.
She’d know those blue eyes anywhere.
“Killian! Oh my god-” The tears were instant. He was okay! He was alive! Elsa opened her arms to call him to her but she wished she could climb out of this bed and run to him herself. She wanted nothing more than to hold him in her arms and assure herself that this nightmare was over. That this was real. That she was really going home.
“I’m sorry- I’m so sorry. I- I wanted to tell you what happened but I had no way to reach you. I-”

“I packed all of your gear for your mission. And a few of my Snow Balls in case you need them. Just be careful. They expand when you throw them.”
Maybe she was being a little over cautious. But the mission he was going on was very high risk. She couldn’t help it if she was worried about him. Especially since she’d been assigned to stay and work on some new tech in the lab and couldn’t go with him. Making tech to keep all of their agents safe in the future was more important than letting her tag along.
But she knew he could handle a solo mission. He’d worked hard for this and she was proud of him! Even if she couldn’t help the nagging fears.
“You got this.” Elsa smiled up at him as she smoothed out the lapels of his coat before leaning up to press a warm but brief kiss to his lips. “Knock ‘em dead, honey... But not literally.”

A gentle, relaxed smile curled Elsa’s painted lips as she laid against his side beneath the stars. From her penthouse balcony they had a great view of the skyline... And with the always peaceful sound of a pool filter humming in the background. But the rest was pretty peaceful.
“The feeling’s mutual, baby.” She sighed, giving him a gentle squeeze. But then she let him go and sat up. Her eyes were on him now, curious but slightly nervous.
“Could you also imagine being in Norway with me?” She asked, clearly implying something she was quick to clarify, “I need to make a trip home to get things from my old lab and visit my family... I was hoping you’d come with me.”

As the credits rolled on the movie they’d been watching, Elsa hadn’t even realized how long she’d been at his place. Time flew so quickly when they were together. She stretched her arms over her head as she yawned, arching her back until she sank back into the couch again.
“Ooh. I’ve never spent the night here before. ” she teased, her eyes following the man through the room.”Since I’d rather not drive home, I’ll take you up on that offer.”
“I haven’t brought a change of clothes though. You wouldn’t happen to have a shirt I could borrow for the night, would you?”

Elsa snorted quietly and shook her head as she dropped herself into the seat across from him at the tiny table. Beside them the world raced by at 50 miles per hour as their ‘mobile office’ drove along the interstate. Of course... ‘Mobile Office’ was the technical name for it... But everyone knew what it really was.
They were- the entire team- all stuck in an RV together travelling across the States to their next mission. They had to be ‘low key’ and this was, apparently the best way to do it.
“I’ll admit this is definitely not... Ideal.” She agreed, glancing back toward the front of the vechicle. Sterling driving and Walter in the passenger seat. Enthusiastically going on about his latest invention that he intended to test when they arrived at their next job.
“But, everything is going to be fine! It’s only for a couple days. And we’re going to be leaving to do separate jobs when we get there. We’re all not going to be cramped in here the entire time.” Though, she knew he was really only bothered by having to be crammed in an RV with one specific teammate.
Elsa glanced back once more before reaching across the table to put her hand gently on his wrist before whispering.
