🐍 black polished fingers reached up towards the top of the cave, as the girl stretched the length of her back. her long black locks swung behind her, as her head leaned back with the motion. it had been a long day of running and hiding as the assassin fled from multiple enemies she had gathered through the years. yes, with a job like hers, finding a normal place to stay was nearly impossible. she hadn’t ever dreamed of being a cave dweller, but she made the best of the dark little hole she’d crawled into a couple years back - made it as much of a home as she was ever going to get.
as she returned to an upright position her eyes connected with the note she had been given earlier. someone, ( a group calling themselves brothers of ash ), desperately wanted a mage dead, and came running to ‘the viper’ for assistance. she smirked, never trying to hide the immense amount of pride she contained for being the assassin to hire. she had worked hard to gain the respect she was given .. even losing a few people along the way. grabbing the note, she reread the instructions:
“ so a young fire mage is wrecking havoc in dimgrove - this should be fun !! ”
within a couple of days she had found herself in the heart of dimgrove. she walked down the main street, her hood covering a good portion of her face, and noticed the aftermath of what had been this fire mage’s attack. he was obviously powerful, and she was suddenly very thankful she brought some of her strongest venom. mages were all very powerful, but far from invincible.
he would be an idiot if he was hiding in this village. she knew he must’ve run off to find somewhere to hide - but where ? her eyes suddenly connected with the forest as a smile formed on her face. if she was going to find him, that would be the best place to look.
