Rebellion - Open

The world had mostly ended in biological warfare. Every major country in the world was given weapons by the same company. These weapons were designed to decimate the population. And then the company started working to turn the world towards war, and as the war started; the human population dropped.

Everything started to go downhill from there.

There were mass body burnings, and those left alive found that they could only truly get clean water, food, and electricity from towns set up by the company that had started the war.

It meant that they could charge whatever they wanted and people would have no choice but to pay it. Those that couldn’t pay, were mostly forced into slave labor just so that they could live in camps.

Still, some remained on the outside, living on their own.

And others…others were not quite as human as they had once been.

The virus unleashed mutated some. They could be seen by their glowing eyes. Alex was one of those who had been mutated, but his eyes would only glow when he was actively using the powers that had been bestowed upon him.

The rebels and even those under the company’s control turned against these mutants and worked to end them.

Really, Alex couldn’t understand why. With these powers they could take down the company that ruined their world.

But he couldn’t do it alone.

He had spent a year living in the shadows, and now…now he was fighting back. Or at least, he was working to plan a revolution.

Step one, find others with powers.

“So rumor has it that you may be one of those mutants in disguise. They say that your eyes don’t glow like the others. Is that true?”

Protecting What’s Mine - Open Rp

After two years it became clear that things would never be normal again…

Phoenix Industries had taken over every major country after the war. They supplied power, food, clean water, medicine. If you didn’t obey them then you were sent into the wasteland.

Now the wasteland wasn’t actually a wasteland. It was just the term used for everywhere that Phoenix Industries didn’t control. The world was dark out there. There were very few places that had water, and those place usually used wind, sun, or water to power generators. Most people in the wasteland had small farms that had enough to feed their family and would protect what they had fiercely.

Alex lived in the wasteland, just like all the other infected that weren’t employed as guards by Phoenix Industries. He had a small home with a small garden that ran on solar energy. He had a well with clean water, though he had no water heater to give warm water for showers. Instead, he bathed in a nearby stream, where he also caught fish and near a forest where he hunted wild boar, deer, and moose. His cellar was filled with dried meats, canned vegetables, and a freezer filled with meat.

From time to time he would lock it all down and go out into the world to scavenge. He would scavenge for weapons, for clothes, for seeds for planting new crops, for anything that he might need to survive.

Today, he was harvesting.

He had a field filled with fresh strawberries and blueberries that needed to be picked. It wasn’t easy work. It made his back ache and his body sweat; but the juicy fruit was worth it.

He looked up, readying a shotgun when he heard footsteps.

“What do you want?”

End of the World verse

Universe Designation: v. end Age: 25 Species: Human / Infected Occupation: Scavenger Abilities: Combat. Weapons. Hand to hand. Impenetrable Skin. Super Strength Other Specifics: His eyes glow when he uses his powers.

The world ended in biological warfare. A virus designed to kill made its way into the hands of every country with a major military, all delivered by one company Phoenix Industries. It had been their plan all along. Only about a third of the planet’s population was immune to the virus, and only about a third of those became ‘the infected’.

So what are ‘the infected’?

We’re not talking zombies.

The infected are those whose DNA was mutated by the virus. They were changed. They were given powers of all sorts.

Now the survivors try to kill ‘the infected’ for fear of what they may do, while some of ‘the infected’ fight back.

Alex just hides what he is. He doesn’t have the outward signs that he is one of the infected. For the others, their eyes glow all the time. For him, they glow only when he’s using his powers.

So he hides what he is, and hopes that maybe things will start to become normal again someday.

“So the game is over,” he said, approaching the angel in white. “Might as well give it up now and run.” The confidence in his voice covering for the pint of fear churning in his stomach. He had no reason to be afraid, the angel had lost, there was no way back. Dean used every last resource possible, including saying yes to Michael, and even then, Lucifer would have been far behind to bother catch up. Let alone try and exterminate humans off the face of the earth.

“I never said it was a game, Dean.” The fallen one replied, back to the man as Lucifer continued to toy with the rose between his fingers. “Nor will I accept losing, running away isn't an option.” He glanced over his shoulder, eyes narrowing at the man before relaxing a little while after. He now faced Dean entirely, “Congratulations, you must feel incredibly... successful.” He said finally, shrugging for his lack of verbiage. “But just so you know Dean, you never truly win.” The words poured out in a slow manner, a hint of callous behind the soft smile forged on Sam's face. “After all, you're only human.”

"Y-Yes. That certainly is a brightside." Ruby was at once in immense awe that she was talking face to face with her God, and also in pain that Sam was as good as dead. Of course, Lucifer free to walk the Earth in his true vessel was more than she could ever hope for, but looking at Sam and knowing it wasn’t Sam still stung somewhat.

"I’m immensely grateful that I’m alive. Sir."

“I know you are,” he placed a gentle hand on her face. “You of all my children deserve to be here.” He smiled kindly before giving her his back. “All that you've done in my name,” he waved a hand as he explained, “Preparing my vessel, sacrificing your dignity, risking your life. My child, you shine bright.” He glanced over his shoulder to see her, “And you may call me Father.”
