The quiet that settled around them as they ate was peaceful. He managed to eat half of his burger and got a fourth of his shake down before the conversation was picked up again. 

“Oh, you’re right. ‘One of my Greek Gods’ I like the sound of that. Except I don’t have any of the sculptures I have anymore. I guess I’ll have to make it up with a willing model now.” His smile grew sly at the last question. “Of course. I have a good eyes for such things and I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my work.”

“I suddenly just realized that I suggested that I would get naked for you on our first date.”

He groaned and covered his face.  This was probably another reason why he didn’t date.  He was probably horrible at it.  Jace would get fed up and never want to see him again if he kept doing and saying stupid things.

He pulled his hands away, but at least he wasn’t blushing this time.

“I’m sorry if it sounds too forward.  I don’t seem to have a brain to mouth filter when I’m around you.  I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.”

The sound of Alex laughing stuck a chord in his heart. It was like a dull throb that pulled at him and he couldn’t help but smile along. His eyes lit up at the suggestion. “Well I can sculpt you like one of my French girls- not draw.”

His attention shifted to the plates that were put out for them and he thanked the waitress before he looked back over to Alex. And boy can that fox eat. Jace watched, amused but understood why the other was eating so fast. “Meat is wonderful,” he agreed, chuckling as he dipped a fry into his shake to eat. “Eat however you want- as long as it’s not off the floor. That’s just unsanitary.”

Alex felt relieved by Jace’s understanding.  Some would be appalled by the animalistic way he had just been eating.  Which was strange, considering they were all animals at one point or another.  He went back to eating, but now at a much slower pace and actually chewing h is food. He had also cut his massive burger in half so that it was easier to work with.

After he got enough food down to take care of his gnawing hunger he took a sip of his drink and then started speaking again.

“Seeing as it’s sculpture wouldn’t it technically be like ‘One of your Greek Gods’ or something?”

He waggled his eyebrows at Jace.

“You’ll make sure I’m anatomically correct, right?”

Or were you shaved?

Was it a HYDRA employee or were you required to do this yourself before you went under?

Did they just wax it all clean or did they take a Gilette to your nips for detail work?

Are your arms also as hairless as a newborn naked mole rat?

Is all of this hairlessness to reduce friction underneath the 100lbs of body armor you have to wear?

If this hair removal process was done while you were frozen, couldn’t they just have like, buffed you with a rag and all of it would have broken off? 

Couldn’t they have also taken the time to shave your face or give you a decent haircut? I just feel like this is a strangely specific kind of effort to put in, manscaping a Murder Tool.
