it’s a rule all living beings should be aware of, downworlders and shadowhunters alike. unfortunately, not everyone is quite as intelligent about it as they should be. a cocky warlock, believing themselves powerful enough to contain a greater demon, summoned the demon asmodeus on the command of a mundane. though the ruler of edom gained his revenge by taking the lives of both, he chose to use his time on earth to toy with those with knowledge of the shadow world and cast a curse — those with some degree of the sight would swap souls.

INFORMATION

the group verse will open when we have eight characters. reservations are allowed, but do not guarantee acceptance. after the opening, applicants will be accepted in pairs and matched that way. you do not have to be a shadowhunters blog, but you must have a shadowhunters verse. this is set in book canon, though show influences are allowed, and takes place shortly after cohf, but canon ships will not be enforced. the application, players, and swap list can be found under the cut, and will be updated as more people join.

OPEN

She was at the Seelie Court talking to her knights. She blinked. She was at an apartment in New York as she realized after a quick glance out of the window. That was the first thing she noticed, the second that something was different - and not in a good way. She blinked a few more times, but every time she opened her eyes it was still the same apartment. She felt a little frustrated and disappointed and a sigh left her lips. The queen didn’t sigh often, but this was not her sigh.

After a quick glance down figured out what was so wrong; this was not her body. The person definitely had a... style. Long fingers covered with rings and the nails painted black. The clothes felt nice on her skin or his skin... This made her head dizzy. Slowly she stood up, getting used to the body and walking over to the nearest mirror - there were quiet a few of them. After the first few moments of shock she smiled and watched Magnus’ face do the same in the mirror. She was in Magnus Bane’s body in Magnus Bane’s apartment. Alone.

Taking a little time to figure out how this body worked she walked around the apartment, mainly looking at books trying to figure out how the warlock’s magic worked. Not noticing how much time passed by she heard a knock on the door and walked over to open it.

“What can the High Warlock of Brooklyn do for you?” The queen gestured with her hands, like she often saw Magnus do it - although she probably overdid it a little.

he knows what the redhead should look like , and there’s something wrong about how the figure before him is moving. it’s not as though he’s unaccustomed to seeing people suddenly act unlike themselves --------- but that is , more often than not , due to demonic possession. though he may not know exactly what is going on , it’s more than obvious that this isn’t a rash of possessions , at least to him. ( if that was what this was , it would have presented differently , and he would not have been displaced as he has been. )

IT’S AN ODD THING , to see his body walking around all on its own. ( not all alone , he supposes , but it’s even stranger to think that there’s someone else in there. ) in this body that he’s still barely gotten used to , he steps forward , heading after the form he’s so accustomed to wearing all alone. it’s difficult to remember how to use this stranger’s voice , but he needs to speak --------- and yet , he thinks he can wait a moment longer. nick reaches the other , catching them by the sleeve to pull them to a halt.
