she loves him. that’s not news to ANYONE, that she would willingly give him her whole heart. she has given him everything of herself, has fought demons and ghosts and MONSTERS to get back to him. but that was over a decade ago, and she’s too old to pretend like giving all of herself to him didn’t drain her at the same time.
so she lets clint in, lets him push his head into her shoulder and wrap his arms around her waist and tell her she can’t leave him like that again. and yes, it nearly BREAKS HER when he tells her things like that, but she knows who she is and she knows what she needs now.
