Merry Christmas Bayden,

Rowan this year stole one of Baydens black hoodies from his room && patched `give me space` on the front of the hoodie && on the back sewed up the big patch on the back.  A homemade christmas card in the pouch && stuck it near the back of his closet on Christmas Eve when he was going to one of his mothers christmas eve parties.  On Christmas day she told him his present’s already in his room have fun searching for it.

*Rowan stole the small patch to put on the front but made the large patch on the back.

Into the Woods || Ryden

       Pulling on a pair of dull gray breathable yoga pants with handsewn up tears sticking out like jutting scars, catching a glimpse of herself in the bathroom mirror.  Unfamiliar features gazing back quickly putting that auburn hair into a messy french braid.  Leaving the mascara smudges under her lower lashes.  Screw it.  Slipping on her oversized special black hoodie with 14 hidden pockets inside with some things well hidden that she shouldn’t have as a patient in an Asylum.  Tightly lacing her hiking boots pulling the hood over her head, and stepping out of her cage.

       Shoving her gloved hands into her hoodie’s pockets.  Stepping out into the cool darkness the scenery around her transformed eerily as a soft misty fog rolled, creating various forms nearing sunrise.  Grateful she left earlier needing a moment of silence.  A moment without Bayden anyway to really assess the situation.  She wasn’t sure if she should be worried or not.  How this was going to turn out she could only cross her fingers it all leads to dead ends.  Not wanting to drag the poor kid into the unknown if he didn’t already know what could be out there. 

       Plus didn’t his mommy teach him not to go into the woods alone with freaks like her?  Guess not -- mummy was to busy dealing with her favorite lil miss bubblegum Montycunt to care about her own son anyway.  Intensely gazing at the borderline of towering trees that stretched high into the sky.  She listened carefully to the bird's chirping and her surroundings while the sunrise was slowly rising behind her.  Stepped through the vegetation and took tentative steps into the misty woods beyond.  Glancing around looking for any hint of danger ferociously, but everything was calm and lively.  

       Inhaling the clean air leaning on the tree, Rowan waited at the promised meeting spot hours before they were suppose to meet each other hoping for a no show.

COVID-19 / Asylum Quarantine

Rowan absolutely LOVING the alone time she gets to practice magic with no disturbances.

Formal && fancy cursive letters addressed to her neighbor next door

Sitting at each other porches && throwing airplanes notes at the other.

Crappy games like starring contests, rock-paper-scissors, && would you rather’s && whatever none sense they could create but both argue about who won.

After Janis or whichever nurse makes the night round Rowan && Bayden talk late at night with an tin can telephone.

     Under a starless sky reflective water pooled in deep pavement cracks. The sidewalk that appeared to be covered in glass spider webs was crushed by muddy boots soiled in speckled blood spatter. The brown and red drizzled swirls that made whirlpools in the water webs as the next victim buried far off was soon to be forgotten, to be washed away, and would disappear like the rain in the careless walk home of the quiet neighbor who lived next door.
