abolish’s job requires he keeps tabs on scott. so, naturally, he knows about scott’s regression. and, occasionally when spying on him, scott is regressed, sometimes. that’s kind of inevitable.
but sometimes shelby or drift are busy and scott is left unsupervised. scott gets bored and wants attention and isn’t half as oblivious to abolish’s surveillance as abolish thinks he is. scott pretends he’s a lot smaller than he actually is and acts like he’s about to put a clove of garlic in his mouth or play with a sharpened stick or something dangerous and abolish has to step in and stop him (for the safety of the populace, of course, because shelby and drift would go on a rampage if anything happened to scott and he is just preventing a massacre before it happens, really, it’s not out of any personal attachment to the little it’s just to avoid the mess it would be to cover up such a large-scale slaughter) and reluctantly resigns himself to playing babysitter until scotts big enough to have the common sense not to stick a fork in a socket, his ‘surveilling’ slowly turns into begrudging ‘supervising’.
even funnier if drift and shelby haven’t caught on to abolish still being alive. btw.
shelby: hey scott!!! did you have fun while mama and auntie drifty went shopping??
