Calise, a port city stationed up in the northern region of the continent. Ironically enough, despite it being relatively closer to home than the other port city he’s often been to, Deku has never actually stepped foot onto this place in order to explore it for what it was. All this time, he had been on the move, searching for information while shielding the dragon child Eri from potential threats hidden in the shadows. Now that she was being kept safe and sound under the dragons’ protection way back in the dragonlands, though, he could finally pace himself a little easier in his search for more dragon-related info.
There was also the fact that the adventurer was just generally on a journey for the sake of exploration. Each step further into Calise had his writing hand itching to document stuff in his plethora of notebooks, all of which were stuffed somewhere in his yellow rucksack. From the architecture to the population’s lifestyle to even the way the marketplace looked and what variety they had up for sale -- he wanted to see them all, see what everything had to offer.
It just so happens that a good portion of the city’s activity was concentrated around its plaza. There were other things going on for sure, all of which were just as enticing for his entertained mind, but one little event seemed to catch his attention the most. It was a single girl, singing and playing and making a musical performance all on her own. She must have been using magic on her other instruments -- all of them were simply floating about in the air, playing as if completely on their own.
The sight was rather mesmerizing. He couldn’t help but feel himself be drawn into the crowd like many other bystanders who’ve grown interested enough to stay. It’s been a long while since the adventurer had actually gotten a chance to relax and indulge himself a little. Maybe this person’s musical show was just what his soul needed amidst all the stress it’s been going through so far.
