STAR TREK: VOYAGER // S1E8: Ex Post Facto
The time was finally right. After so many long centuries, the Tree had learnt how to thrive on its own as it once had. Loki could, at last, begin to seek a place to belong and space out his self-appointed duty.
Midgard was the home of the Asgardians now, at least until another Asgard was created, and in this reality he had chosen he told himself that if he could make amends for some of what a Loki had inflicted, perhaps something could come of it.
Hand brushing over the timeline's thread, he cast a duplicate of himself down into the Iron Man's workshop in the New Avengers' compound. He was little more than a hologram, clad in his humbler robes, galaxy-speckled cloak, and kintsugi horns.
Stark himself was lost in his work, as expected. Why would he notice an incorporeal, silent apparition? There was an equation on a light display nearby. After everything Loki had learnt, here he could make a start. He was no engineering genius like Tony. He couldn't create new ideas of the scientific kind, but he could apply what he had gathered across time and space. Honestly, he was probably about to use a solution literally stolen from some point in Tony's future.
"Have you considered this?"
In the same moment of announcing his presence, he gestured to the equation. The adjustment glowed in green.

“Write your songs, but remember that we’re the ones that are here to lighten, to lighten life, to light the lanterns and the little fairy lights and try to keep people going. We have to have hope, we have to believe that this will all end of up okay, and that we’ll all end up okay — because if we don’t do it, then who the hell is gonna do it?”. — Stevie Nicks to Lana Del Rey.
