in the holding garage, she’s dragging junyang by the sleeve; the force tugging him along with her by all means. the high ceilings echo with the sound of their rushing to the vehicles. “ don’t you think you should treat yourself? ” suji asks, not really caring for a response. she has one door open and shoves junyang headfirst into the hovercar to deploy out. she’s almost manic when she giggles, seated in the driver’s seat next to him. hands on the wheel, a rush of giddiness swirls up when she starts the engine when she hears the faint motors running. 

“ you need new clothes, ” she mentions offhand as the reason for this trip. she presses for the garage to open and without warning, promptly stomps on the pedal. of course, the car lurches forward before– “ ah! ” the car comes to a sudden halt. two bodies thrown off balance. suji seems dismissive of her extreme motions or their safety. her first reaction is reaching in front of him to pop open the glove compartment. confirming the goods, she nods to herself. inside, two guns are innocently nestled in the back.

returning to her previous position, she grins again with fingers clenched around the wheel. only this time, she does ask, “ ready to go? ”

it’s not the easiest thing in the world to have voices stuck in your head, especially when it’s minhae and jisung, along with having to search as lowkey as possible for something he’s not entirely sure of what it is from a guy he can’t be sure is even real ( but is supposedly super dangerous), while also keeping track of his wayward crew members as they inevitably make messes of things. jaewon is stressed. he is frustrated and getting angrier by the minute.

it doesn’t help that he’s 89% certain one of his people have just been made by some socialite asshole who looks like minhae’s rejected child. jaewon doesn’t even want to know why he’s been staring at yang like that for the last couple of minutes, but he knows he has to do something about it. and that fucking sucks.

he heads over to his crew and blocks the on-lookers perspective, leaning in real close. “you need to get out of here, at least go into the other room or something, come on,” he grabs and tugs on yang’s elbow, trying to be discreet.

“ well believe it or not, it is. ” suji interlocks with his gloved hands, to walk or as well as they could down to the back of VANTABLACK. technically, it was dangerous to be working outside while the spacecraft was still moving, but it had slowed to a smooth cruise. suji chuckled at junyang’s movements, “ a little heavy, huh? ” even with the two in zero gravity suits, just lifting a leg required extra work. but from their view, surrounded by darkness, there’s an enormous planet, not yet colonized, that they’re passing by. “ there’s nothing quite like it. you almost never want to step onto land or gravity ever again once you feel this, ” she sighs in contentment. suji waves in small motions at the distancing globe, “ say bye to the aliens, ” she sings within her mask.
