The Loss of True Meaning
We live in a moment in history where many words have been cursed with the lost of their taste and true meaning. Among many others, the word "Artist" is an offspring of that curse. Pop culture is drowning in the hype around simply just having the title of an artist. Creating a watered down version of the word " Artist" Though capitalism has it advantages and helps create wealth for the artist entrepreneur. It also has created a culture where creators are only measured by their monetary value and not their passion. The effect of romanticizing the title of an artist and culture of capitalism leaves us with a word that no longer accurately describes people with real passions, inspirations ,creativity and patience.
