How would bill feel about an energetic and hyper tiger who refuses to go to sleep and keeps trying to play games on her phone while it’s on full brightness and when bill tries to pry the phone out of her hands so talk boi stands a chance at getting some rest she starts to play fight and he warns her but she carries on and he ends up having to spank her and get her into that nice small headspace so she’ll cuddle into him and go to sleep? 🥹
UNF I LOVE THIS THOUGHT A LOT
And like, who knows what it is, right? Maybe it's jet lag. Mercury in retrograde. Hormones. Maybe it's anxiety or insomnia, work stress, boredom. Poor diet. Not enough exercise. Too much exercise. Tiger usually has less chill than the fucking Sahara but lately, it's been even worse.
And like everything about her, her energy is larger than life and it's contagious. When tiger's on edge or feeling antsy, everyone is ansty.
And when tiger's ansty--let's face it, she's also kind of brat.
So she's just been dialled up to 11 lately for god knows what reason, and Bill is the exact opposite--he's mellow, calm, relaxed. Hell maybe this is even on vacation, right?
YES I LIKE THAT THOUGHT.
Sometimes the full moon and the beach and the ocean give tiger a bit of insomnia, a bit of restlessness--she hears their calling to her and she just can't sleep. 3AM on vacation by the beach with her Big Dude, under the light of the moon, is some of her most cherished, sacred time. But while she's sometimes a bit restless, those circumstances don't make her antsy--and they most certainly don't make her bratty. Usually it's enough for her if Bill opens the curtains, tucks in behind her and pulls her tight in his arms. Tiger can watch the move and listen to the waves while feeling Bill's steady heartbeat, his breath on her neck--and she feels safe. Loved. It grounds her.
And it happens sometimes that he's asleep and she just can't wind down, no matter what she tries--but she knows what to do. She knows what she's supposed to do.
"Billy," she says softly, nosing at his chest. He wakes up instantly--allbeit it a bit slowly.
"Yeah kid?" he asks softly.
She doesn't say anything, just scoots in closer.
"Hungry?" he asks.
"No," she mumbles.
"Can't sleep?"
"Mmmph," she says. Bill peels an eye open, sees the bright full moon lighting up the room.
"C'mon," he says. He'll pull her out of bed, and set up on a lounge chair outside or even in the pool if they have a private one. From there she can relax a bit, watch the moon all she wants, and just breathe.
But then there are times where it's just...well, it's kind of a fucking disaster. She's been a bit amped up, but for some reason, she's not really doing what she's supposed to--she's dong the opposite, really. So one night when she can't sleep--again--Bill wakes up to what he's relatively sure is a fucking Dreamliner landing in their hotel room, judging by all the flashing lights. He grumbles, shielding his eyes.
"The fuck," he mutters. Then everything goes dark.
"...sorry."
He sighs, rubbing his eyes and trying to focus them on her.
"I thought you fell asleep," he says.
"I did," she shrugs, "But then I woke up. And here we are. You're all caught up."
She goes back to playing her game and Bill grimaces when the bright lights hit again.
"Tiger," he snaps, "Give it."
He goes to snatch it but she yanks it back.
"No!" she says, "I'll go play on the balcony."
"No," he says, and grabs hold of her as she goes to leave the bed. He pulls her roughly back in. "You're going to give it to me, and you're going to go to sleep."
"Or....." she wrestles out of his grip, "Not."
"Tiger."
She just shrugs.
"I'm bored. I can't sleep. So if you want this," she slides out of bed and dangles her phone in front of him--the brightness cranked all the way up, just to be a shithead-- "Then you can come and get it."
"You think this is wise kid?" he threatens lowly. Tiger smiles deviously.
"No, but I think it's fun."
He reaches for it--still in bed but goddamn his arms are long enough--but tiger dodges, and smacks his hands away. He knows that glint in her eye--she's a brat. She's a full, petulant brat. But like, it's 2AM, Bill was in a dead ass sleep, she's been rather insufferable all day--Bill is pissed.
"You get one more chance. I'll even count to three," he all but growls, "One....two...."
And like, not only is tiger a brat, not only is she blatantly, purposely misbehaving--but she's being insolent about it. And man, nothing gets Bill going more.
So she just shrugs--a challenging, oh well shrug.
"Three."
Tiger doesn't budge. Doesn't flinch. Doesn't move--instead, she just smiles.
Bill lunges.
It's dark, it's late, he's deadass tired after dealing with her grumpy ass all day, and he's getting a little tired of this nocturnal schedule of hers. So he lunges, knocks over a bedside lamp--but tiger is smaller than him and usually quicker, at least when she's been awake for longer than he has. So she dodges, runs a little ways across the room. Bill may be a clumsy oaf when he's groggy but he's still a big clumsy oaf, and tiger's scurrying footsteps only ever equate to about two or three of his long strides. He catches her with ease, tries to force her back against the wall.
"Ack!" she exclaims when he grabs a wrist, trying to wrangle her arm behind her back. But tiger dips and gets out of it, running across the room. She grabs pillows from the couch on her way and lobs them at him, and she nails him right off the head. The room is dark but just in the faint glint of the moonlight tiger can see the dangerous look in his eye, and it just fuels her.
"How do you think this will end for you kid?" he threatens, "Come here, and get on your fucking knees."
"Meh," she shrugs, non plussed, "Make me."
He lunges again. This goes on for longer than either one thought it would--tiger is wild, lit up, and Bill is out of breath and getting angrier by the minute.
He finally fakes left and when she scurries to his right, he corners her against the desk in the room. In one fell swoop he wraps his arms around her waist, pinning her to the desk with his hips before he slams her front down onto it--hard. She grunts, but before she can fight back he retracts his arm and lands two loud, stinging spanks to her backside. She yelps, but he just leans over her.
"Enough," he growls menacingly into her ear. He holds her front down with his forearm as his other hand reaches, plucking the phone from her hand. He spanks her again, hard enough to leave a mark, and then he pulls her front up.
"On your knees," he commands--and he doesn't give her time to disobey. He spins her around forcefully, shoving her down in front of him--and he just stares at her.
But like, here's the thing right? He hasn't seen this tiger in a looooong time. Demure. Small. Calm. Good. His good girl. Her shoulders are hunched over, her gaze downcast, and for the first time he notices that her shoulders are not scrunched up by her ears or that her face isn't pinched with all the usual tension or anxiety she carries there. Her jaw isn't clenched, her fists aren't tight.
Quite the opposite, actually. Her mouth is slack, slightly open, as she draws in deep, even breaths. Her shoulders are loose, back where they should be. Her hands are open, her palms resting on her thighs. Nothing about her is tight or tense. Everything just looks....released. Free.
He won't make her ask for it--he really ought to, he really ought to make her suffer and beg for it just for being such a goddamn brat--but he doesn't have the heart. She's been so pent up and anxious without even really knowing why, so she can't be expected to ask for what she needs--she didn't even know what she needed.
He stares at her for a beat too long, and he waits--she fidgets. He snaps his fingers and she peers up at him hesitantly. He bends at the waist, setting his hands on his knees as he glares at her.
"Bend back over the desk," he commands.
Tiger stands up so fast she nearly breaks his nose. In a flash she's bent over the desk, her hands holding onto one side, her cheek resting on the cool surface. Bill tosses her phone to the side.
"You're in big, big trouble kid," he says lowly, "There's no count tonight. Let's just see how many you can take."
