Umm, not to be rude but my vacation week hasn't started yet. It starts on the Friday or Saturday of the last week of June, which is, I think July 25 or July 26. I should've been specific.

Vaca Week - Day 3 -Touching Tuesday

I want to live within this forest with them, or at least vacation here and 'happen upon them' okay? Not asking for much. This is one of my favorite scenes of the whole film. I want absolutely every moment that was captured of this as an extended scene right now please? I want to know what they're saying. I think of that often, how much they say we don't ever hear, though they're such wonderful actors we do know what they say. It's so stunning, and they look like they're in a fairytale garden. I like to refer to this as "Henry's garden", even though I know it's "Texas", it makes me think of the garden where Henry has his love for Alex, where it grows and thrives and breathes and overflows.

The way their bodies are positioned, Henry's knee cocked as he leans in, with Alex leaning back against the tree.

The way they stare into one another's eyes and Henry's hands on Alex's neck and shoulders, I have no words.

Their hands, Alex's hand at Henry's side, the way he rubs him soothingly, it's just comfort, comfort... omg. Crying.

Hayden and I are on a staycation since this last Sunday till next Sunday …a low budget staycation lol. 🏡♥️

Sunday - We went to moms and helped her clean up her apartment since she’s officially working from home. 🧹🏠🫧

Monday - Hayden went to the coffee shop to do the writers thing and chilled at home and watched Below Deck all day lol ✍️👀📺

Today - We went to Stone Mountain (we have a park pass) and had lunch and played board games. Then we went to see a movie, The Invitation, cause it’s $5 Tuesday! We both enjoyed the movie! 🥪🎥🍿

Tomorrow we go to the lake and I’m so ready to get into the water!

Vaca Week - Day 2 - Moody Monday

I just love how happy the four of them are here. Alex is pure sunshine and I feel like he's barely holding himself back from reaching back and taking Henry's hand in his when he puts it on the back of Nora's seat. Nora is a goddess and really captures our Nora from the book in this scene, even if we don't hear what's being said, her interaction with Alex here is spot on. Pez is just so smiley and having a great time. Henry looks devastatingly handsome and sublimely happy.

This is one of those scenes that I want more of, I want to know their conversations so badly.

Vaca Week - Day 1 - Sweet Sunday

Let's discuss how completely and beautifully in love Alex is in this scene. (Alex is so in love he could die.) Gorgeous acting by Taylor here, for one. His hooded eyes, looking out the window, thinking of Henry, I can feel his heart's yearning for him just jumping right off the screen. That deep sigh, the dreamy thoughts you know he's having. You can see that he's clearly changed now. Henry has helped him know himself better. He has given Alex so much during their Paris trip. Alex, I think, can still feel Henry with him, and if it weren't for the distance growing and not knowing when they'll be able to see one another again, this would be Alex at peace, quite possibly for the first time in his entire life. Or, rather it's as close as he's ever gotten, with the exception of when he joined his body with Henry's.

I know this isn't the beginning of the vacation, but given that I'm about to leave for the airport, I thought it fitting to start with this sweet scene.

Now we have Alex getting ready for the vacation, knowing he's going to see Henry and being so excited to open this box that contains all the pieces of himself that he gets to be, when he's allowed to just be Alex. There's a lot of intense emotions I think are wrapped up here with him getting that box out and all the things inside that are what he eventually takes to Texas. He looks so free and excited, not only to be at the lake house but to show Henry this side of himself.
