Story: Hodari is an experiment by House Vadalis, #24601. During the Last War, a branch of House Vadalis, Feral Heart, privately began doing experiments magebreeding living weapons. Hodari is one such experiment. As he was trained, he was pitted against other experiments in gladiatorial feats. He was forced into agressive fits. In one such rage, he killed his mate and child, and their souls possessed his sword.
One of the exceptionally dangerous experiments performed by Feral Heart was a fleshweaving practice where he was branded on his chest with a Mark of Handling. Other experiments died during this process, but it took to him, giving him a functioning Vadalis mark. After a few years of being raised in captivity with this cruelty, The Patron approached him. He was instructed to leave the Hearth (base of operations of Feral Heart) and travel to Sharn, where he would meet the companions that would help him in his new life as a free man. The Patron released him, in exchange for total devotion.
Hodari, guided only by instinct and the encouragement of The Patron, found two members of the party in the lower wards of Sharn. When the barely sentient lion first met them, he attacked in a rage. Now, he follows their lead, moving quickly to answer any task the Patron gives, and living with a sense of wonder for a world outside of the Hearth.
“Don’t get it confused. I’m no philanthropist and I’m not just handing you your freedom. However, you look like a lot of fun. Want a job?” -Patron
