@vagrantminor: He can’t do much (can’t afford much), but Ga-ming would really like to show his appreciation for Dr. Baizhu’s help over the years with all of his Wushou injuries. He presents a box of tea, and a separate bundle of herbs.
“Hey Doc! It’s not much, but my dad has this new line of tea that’s supposed to help with stomach aches. And Qiqi helped me pick these herbs! There’s not anything new or fancy in here, but a full stock is always a help, right?”
The visit from the young dancer is not uncommon - in fact, the doctor is already turning, reaching for the salve he knows works best on the injuries the youth sustains often, when he acknowledges that, this time, he doesn't appear injured at all. Refocusing, his gaze finds the box in one hand, the bundle of herbs in the other, and he pieces it together.
Ga-ming is not here for his expertise, but for his birthday. Truly, he is amazed at how many people seem to have remembered, or even deign to celebrate with him.
"Oh, no, you really shouldn't have..." There's an itch to refuse the gift, to insist Ga-ming gives it to someone else, but he seems so eager that the doctor cannot deny him. "This is very thoughtful, thank you." He accepts the herbs with a smile, notes the fine way in which they have been harvested. "I was running rather low on these, as a matter of fact, so this is incredibly helpful."
Next, he turns his attention to the tea. Chenyu Vale blends are creeping further and further into the market of Liyue Harbour and he cannot deny that he enjoys the nostalgic comfort the tea brings to him. And the fact that it has medicinal properties... "This, too, will be very useful. You're very kind, Ga-ming. Please, do stay for some tea." He laughs lightly. "Perhaps not this blend, of course, unless you have an ailing stomach..." He tucks the herbs away, beckons the youth towards the back of the pharmacy. "Come, come. Gui has baked some treats, too. I'm sure Qiqi will enjoy having company to share them with."
