These are a condensed version of my full rules doc as I'm aware that it's lengthy and not everyone wants to / has time to read all of that, but I do encourage people to do so at some point because I go into more detail about some key things there!
I am autistic & therefore ask you to be clear with your communication with me. I cannot read your mind, I cannot pick up on "clues" in your words, and I easily misread tone. If there is a problem, just tell me what it is. If you want to approach me for a particular interaction or want to discuss a potential ship, just ask. Clear communication is always appreciated here.
I am also chronically ill, so my activity can only be described as sporadic at best. Sometimes replies will come daily, sometimes it could be a couple of weeks. If you can't wait for a reply, I'm not the writing partner for you.
I won't interact with anyone below the age of 20, and I will be reluctant to follow anyone below the age of 25. I am 30+ and the age gap makes me uncomfortable. If your age isn't listed somewhere on your blog, I won't follow you.
General rp etiquette rules apply. On that note, if you deliberately antagonise one of my villains and/or powerful characters, be prepared for consequences. Additionally, don't put me in a position where the only realistic response from my muse breaches etiquette rules - if you do this, I'm dropping the interaction for those muses immediately.
Keep me out of your drama. I am too old and too tired for playground behaviour. If you have a problem with someone, act like an adult and either talk to them privately about it, or block and move on.
I am a multi-para roleplayer, but I will curate the length of my replies to match my partner's. Generally speaking, you'll usually get a minimum of three paragraphs - two if it's something shorter or I know you prefer smaller replies - but I can and will write anywhere between four to eight depending on the thread. I urge you to communicate your preferences so I don't overload you with small novels if that's not your thing!
Memes are a great way to explore potential dynamics so I urge people to send them to get things going! For established dynamics, I do like plotted threads, but I'm also happy to do back-and-forth asks in place of them. I don't tend to reblog memes often (because I forget to) so there's no time limit on any of them. Want to send me something from a meme I posted last year? Go for it!
I'm happy to do fandom crossovers providing your muse has a verse relevant to my muse (or my muse has a verse relevant to yours). I don't like "x character turns up randomly in y character's universe" style crossovers and I won't write them.
On a similar note, I am also open to duplicate muse interactions, in whatever form we choose to write them. I've done twinverses, and I've done parallel universe-style scenarios too. I generally prefer the former, but I'm open to other ideas if you have them.
I love shipping, but I do not auto-ship any of my muses, full stop. I require chemistry between our portrayals to consider a ship. Even if you know I enjoy a particular ship, it doesn't guarantee that you'll get to write it with me - I also require chemistry between us as writers.
Whilst I don't need constant engagement in a ship, if you haven't shown any interest in our ship for some time, it makes it harder for me to summon motivation for it. If you're not feeling it any longer, I'm not going to be mad or upset - please just communicate this to me so we can decide where to take things from there.
Regarding exclusivity, I do practice exclusivity with some ships, but this is usually not something I'll jump into immediately. Some exceptions apply, of course, usually when it comes to ships that I see in a particular way or only trust certain people to write it with. If we have an exclusive ship and you have been inactive for a long period of time without communication, I will break exclusives.
There is a soft cap of three iterations of a dynamic - for example, I will write Thoma with up to three Ayatos, or three Ayakas. Rest assured, I will ensure the dynamics are all different from each other. With some of the more... unique interactions (eg, characters who haven't met in canon, characters from different fandoms, etc) I am unlikely to write more than one version of that dynamic.
I am OC friendly but I do ask that you have even the most basic of info pages for them just so I know who they are. My only restriction is that I will not write with an OC that forces a connection to my muse, such as immediate family or romantic relationships, or an OC whose backstory severely impacts on or changes the canon of my muse's history. If your OC inserts themselves into my muse's life without discussion or consent, it's an immediate no.
Lastly, I am not associated with aloe / noah (dhabibi & other urls) and haven't been for a long time, and I do not appreciate being blocked automatically simply for being briefly friendly with them. If you have a problem with them, leave me out of it. As I said before, I'm too old and too tired for this.
people failing to recognise that "i am become blade" is a reference in a game full of references and losing their shit over the "bad grammar" on his banner is the latest addition in my despair at the human race
and it's not that i expect everyone to know that reference immediately, of course not, but could we maybe... oh, i don't know, use our brains for five minutes before we make posts online? maybe use this vast digital world of knowledge to educate ourselves? no, no, i know. too much to ask-
okay i was going to be productive but then i remembered the new season of legend of vox machina dropped today so i'm off to watch the first 3 episodes-
i woke up for all of like 2 hours earlier and then my brain and body both went: nope. and i slept for another 5 hours (not straight through, sadly, but i'll take what i can get)
so i fear today has been a very unproductive one again-
so i have no idea what the new tv is doing, but it's so helpful that the first 5 minutes of me playing a game is spent with the tv screen going completely black at random intervals. especially helpful when i'm in the middle of a weekly domain-
i love how we have characters like jing yuan, jingliu, clara, topaz, feixiao, sunday... so many with white/grey/silver hair of all ages that no one bats an eye at
but yingxing is shown in that little animated short as a youth with white/grey hair and people suddenly can't accept it on a young person-
it's d&d tonight so i will be lurking for the majority of the evening, and unfortunately i will not have time to knock out any quick writing things before the game starts despite the fact my brain is cooperating today (typical)
but if i don't end up in a 2 hour post-game chat with the other autistics again i will see about working on those apep things!
i may even put out a test call for eula and chongyun in the coming days once i've refreshed my brain on their mannerisms and such-
i have no idea if either of these will stick around for the long haul, i have no idea if i'll vibe with them or even be good at portraying them, but for now... they are available as test muses!
someone take this man on vacation to the easybreeze holiday resort, take him to a rave on tete isle, and get him drunk enough that he stops caring about image so he can have some fun and dance on a table or two-
