I'm sympathetic to "don't tag as ship" requests in the captions of art but um, "don't view as ship" is a step too far for my tastes. like if you're ninja scrolling and just hitting everything real fast and think "ship, meh, skip" tada, you've violated the request's spirit even if you didn't see it because you hit j too fast. Which is a bit dumb and moreover. sometimes, you just gotta be a bit in denial to swallow notps, like recently I saw smut with a disembodied hand and so i made the conscious choice to view said hand as being my preferred character hand even though that would likely not be the art's intentions. and i think everyone's done that and if you haven't, I'm sorry but I think I'm gonna call you a liar on that
