I’m insanely curious about your pirates au

yay! I'm glad!! I don't want to talk about it too much, cause I wanna reveal certain stuff through comics + illustrations but I can tell you-

gem has her void arm! she wants to get rid of it, and capturing pearl is currently the only way to do it

as gem is falling to her death, in disbelief and shock at her own teammate betraying her after everything, she reaches with one hand towards the sky. not for grian, whose eager laugh disappears as she falls further. she looks at the night sky and she sees the moon; waxing half, shining the brightest since that new moon had happened. perhaps it’s her imagination, another image invoked by her grief, but she swears that a silhouette with long hair and flowing clothes is extending their own hand.

perhaps it's her imagination, but she reaches towards the silhouette anyways. and as her body hits the ground, a familiar set of arms is there to soften the blow.

oooo this is good....love the imagery here, specifically gem reaching up towards the moon, and the pearl from her imagination..makes me wonder what pearl looks like in her head. is it the scarlet pearl shes heard whispers of? or does gem in her final moments see pearl, the real pearl, stripped of her red cloak and sharp teeth, and simply accepts her as she is?

Why do all Pearl fans seem to love the Nosy Neighbors so much? I'm just asking because if you look in the tags of the art you just posted, it’s all the big Pearl blogs freaking out about how much they love the NN?

to me, nosy neighbors is just so, so wholesome..i personally view limited life as one of pearl's more healthier seasons, and the fact it happens right after double life is kind of crazy. her teaming up with bigb that season was literally everything she needed to start healing all of her scars from DL. its a rickety tower, built out of fear and survival vs one that is strong and steady, that was built by two instead of one.

and it goes beyond LimL as well!! ever since they called themselves the nosy neighbors, they haven't been able to stop being that!!! every! single!! season!!! they end up interacting, and helping the other!!!! they still call the other neighbor!!!!!! pearl literally only has to say "but nosy neighbors..." and bigb will go to war for her!!!!! pearl hasn't left the tower but she also hasn't left froggy tower and i think that's important!!!!!!!!

Not gonna ask how Gem got the void arm in your pirates au since that’s probably something you wanna wait to reveal, but does it hurt? If so, does Pearl feel bad that by joining/befriending her, Gem can’t get it to go away?

it doesn't really hurt her, more so it feels kind of..static-y? like constant pin pricks across her arm. it's also slowly spreading across the rest of her body, which is bad!

as for your second question..yes, but like, only for a little bit. sorry to be vague (ha) about it, but it is yet again something I'd like to reveal later :-)

i love love love your traffic pirates au, i think Scar and Oli are great additions! perhaps Lizzie as well ? i think she would be fun, increase the shenanigans potential :]

if you already have a plan for Lizzie tho, what is she up to 0: ?

thank you! current plan for lizzie is that she is the captain of another pirate crew that regularly feuds with joel's navy ship (jizzie enemies to lovers basically..)

I do really like the idea of her joining pearl's pirate crew though...

In the traffic pirate au, do gem and pearl ever get a third crewmate?

yes! I haven't figured out when it would happen, but eventually bigb would join them :]

(and also maybe scar and oli but im less sure about those two)
