And the rock left standing after a mountain’s collapse And the savaged people on earth And the shadow left by a toppled rock And the wilderness of the graves in heaven And the faces of the Martyrs And the blood of the Chechens splashing heaven and earth And the kitten set free at the end of the earth And frog tears make the ocean run over And the tortoise set free in the sky And the window shattered by a butterfly And this evening And Berlin And I And the memories, like ants that hurry all over my soul and body And my prayers, that all end this way: Dear Allah, let me die in Chechnya!
