Cain being so flabbergasted by the thought of ever getting to "retire" that the guy giving him the news thought he was pissed off and offended by people thinking he was too old for the normal job is just. So good. It such a neat detail, he always hoped for a low key deskjob placement and envied the people who got them but never even once considered the fact there was a chance he would actually get one of them even as he was nearing 100 years old...
