But a major reason is because the earphones themselves get in the way of the mouse if both are located on the right side of the PC. I’m left-handed but I use the mouse with my right hand so I connect the mouse on the USB port that’s on the right side of the computer.
If the earphones jack is also located on the right side, the headphones themselves get in the way when using the mouse. If it was placed on the left side instead, the earphones wouldn’t have to get in the way of anything.
One has to wonder why the people who make laptops have to change the locations of things that are already perfect enough as it is.
