I wish tumblr wasn’t so US (and currently UK centric), because yesterday was Election Day in Sweden, and currently it looks like the right have a majority to form a government, and it’s going to fuck everything up. They don’t care enough about the environment, one of the parties has roots in nazism, and is officially the second biggest party in Sweden. We had a female prime minister for the first time and now we might go back to having a man again 🧍🏻‍♀️ like,, this has been a really intense election people.

Och om du inte röstar - kom då inte och gnäll om att "fel" sida vann eller om att politikerna inte gör som du tycker. Du hade din chans att säga vad du tycker och du sumpade den. Då har du sumpat din chans att klaga, också.

(To my non-Swedish followers, we have a general election today and it's super close. So I'm trying to encourage my Swedish followers to do their civic duty and vote, because every vote counts - for real. It might come down to a few thousand votes in the end.)

Half-ish of our election is counted and as it looks right now… nazi party becomes second biggest party.. still early but if that right side also gets MAJORITY… trump 2.0 is happening in sweden

Swedish politics is literally burning right now. I’m usually pretty good at pushing everything away but right now i’m heartbroken of what’s going on. The strongest voice during this election AGAINST the far right nazis, Annie Lööf, now resigns. She’s stating she’s releaved she survived this election. There was a murder prior to the election where it was later revealed the murderer planned on killing Annie Lööf as well. This is where we’re at. 20% of the Swedish people voted for a party started by nazis.
