MORE GARGANTUA AND PANTAGRUEL STUFF AAAAA

I snagged these recently!!! I'd been hoping to be able to get ahold of them and got really lucky.

first, Gargantua as illustrated by Eugen Taru (published 1963):

Val Munteanu needs no introduction. What one could add, however, is that alongside Saul Steinberg and Gopo, Val is the third piece in an ad-hoc trinity of Romanian illustration of international notoriety.

The White Dragon, written by Profira Sadoveanu, was published in 1963 by Editura Tineretului, edited by V. Gafița, technical editor S. Mihai, print run of 25.120 handled by Combinatul Poligrafic Casa Scînteii (whose building, drapped in a pink blush, is featured in the Hokusai inspired spread).
